damn, the links dead. I think someone snitched.
I liked that one chick who got knocked up bu the squid thing.
Her baby was so cute!
Wow I ended up hating every character in this film. It was so enjoyable seeing Holloway die. I cracked up when Shaw gave birth to an alien squid – man Holloway would have been one happy father. RIP Holloway.
Must resist ordering…just wait for the bluray set. Just wait…
Oh look, Shaw looking ill and in pain in the added scenes…
Oh look, Janek having the conversation they should have had before they all go on…
 Psyched for this Bluray.
After watching the deleted scene of Shaw Vs the Engineer again, I’m surprised they took so much of that out. Shaw hidding was seriously tense, didn’t like the part where he drags her back by the ankle and gets hit by the axe, that felt rather clichéd.
So those four scenes look the like the chunk scenes added in for the DC(133 minutes to 159 minutes), wonder if there’s more stuff added in smaller bits throughout the movie.
Apparently there are some scenes such as the “elders” and much hyped up “paradise” scene that will appear on the bluray.
This looks like a rip off. I can’t help but think they purposely left the scenes out of the movie to boost blue ray sales because they probably knew they had a mediocre movie on their hands at best. :bluu:
Enjoy your buyer’s remorse, ladies.
Yeah, that’s the sense I get out of Ridley Scott’s home release stuff…a total ripoff. I mean, who wants to see more of a movie, tons of special features and insight from the director himself on the project. What a bunch of horseshit. I’d much rather buy a bare bones, no special features copy for the same price.
Ridley Scott never said it outright, but he’s implied that the theatrical cut was “the most aggressive cut” they delivered to the studio. He had to cut the movie down to around a two hour running time to avoid having to cut the movie down to PG13 so it could appeal to wider audiences…Pick your poison I guess.
Well that would explain why it felt like there were huge chunks missing from the movie, especially the numerous incidences of bizarre behavior and significant events throughout the movie that were NEVER addressed by the other characters or the story itself.
If the blue ray has these missing pieces, I might redbox it.
I still don’t like Kingdom of Heaven that much, but you definitely get a different impression of the movie’s events and characters when you watch the DC. So I won’t be surprised if the same thing happens to Prometheus, somehow.
I just don’t get why Ridley keeps making inferior theatrical cuts, instead of throwing his weight around to make the movie he wants viewers to see. Strikes me as cynical.
This is what I was saying months ago. There were many scenes that felt unfinished or barely documented. Which is why I wasn’t in a rush to overtly criticize the film.
He has such a huge vision, I’m still not a fan of Kingdom of Heaven the directors cut is exhausting to watch but I appreciate him taking his time to tell the story. He is a business man too so like SF-Zero2 said, pick your poison

I’m confused - is this releasing next Tuesday or some other time? Amazon has October…and I’d push back with Avengers dropping anyways…

Spoiler
It’s been awhile since I saw the movie but didn’t they spill the black goo then get lost on their way out? So in the course of a few hours the earthworms mutated, one left the room, chilled around in the tunnels for a bit, shed it’s skin, then returned the to the room, and closed the door. I see.
i’m gonna say that the 1st 45 minutes of the movie made sense completely, but the last 45 minutes was a jumbled up mess.
i’m gonna assume waylands daughter knew the old man was on the ship, and that the operating pod was for the geezer, and that she claimed it was hers, of course since she wasn’t gonna say its for her grandpaps to the crew thats oblivious of peter being on the ship. plus, he may not have been awakened if they didn’t find a live engineer. so why tell the crew its for peter thats secretly onboard when he might not even get awakened anyway.
i believe david asked the engineer "can you bestow immortality to the old one?"
thats my belief.
i think the only reason the engineer went balistic and flipped out on the crew is because:
since if we suppose the space jesus theory,…the engineers were going to destroy humanity since humanity rejected their artifically made envoy(ie jesus) and the engineers decided humanity was a failed experiment…when the engineer woke up and saw the female scientist physically assaulted coupled with the egotistical question proposed by david on peter wayland’s behalf…the engineer realized humanity had NOT evolved in the social sciences and decided to go through with the plan of destroying mankind that was hampered due to the black biological WMD getting mishandled and killing his crew.
