Not gonna quote warahk’s post for the upteenth time, but he nails it in player ettiquite and development.
Played early on Sunday morning when only one guy was there. Obviously new to the game, but if you’re at the arcade you’ve gotta go all outs. With each match though, I let him know what to be cautious of, or a repetitive pattern that he develops…that’s the only way for someone to get better versus sandbagging.
When I first picked up SF4 as a scrub(and still am) I know the most I got was from learning from mistakes and beat downs, and what got me to keep at playing was seeing crazy technique from those better than me. You give players insight, not free wins. Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for life.
Thanks dude. I can’t execute in tournaments, and I can’t tech throws; these two factors keep me in the scrub field~ And there are still matches i totally don’t understand, (guile vs feurte)
I saw you nail those crazy 1-frame links on saturday man, lol.
I haven’t been coming lately because summer school is killing me. If I do come out it’ll be sometime in the evening probably after dinner time. Who swings by around 8?
I like dont miss jab strong in casuals anymore because i practice it every freaking day, I missed it a million times on saturday… and that’s my bread and butter T_T
i cant afford to miss that link cuz if i flash kick and it gets blocked i die
Like noah said my emotions make me suck, iono about top 8 though (though i guess i would’ve been top 8 if i won that match against hugo?)
lol i just remember you hitting that upside-down kick (forward roundhouse?) into a crouching jab to a flashkick/boom (or some combo of that type) to finish someone off. That was sick.
Eh, still learning to get in the right mindset at a tourney too man. It’s just about playing man. Maybe I should get you a CD with ‘Sounds of the Arcade Tournament’ to condition ya.
Just got back from Cam’s. Who da hell was that ryu guy? He was kinda on it for awhile. Took a dollar from me until andy got him out, otherwise he was pretty dope (even though he mashed a tiny bit)
