Alex too few options?

For the second time, SA II is perfectly fine to use. BNB I agree with you on. Your point is good. Not just for the super but I think it is good to play different supers. It will tell you if you do or do not know what to do with Alex when super or EX is not avalible. I use SA II, don’t think that I do not. Certain match ups’ are no choice like Makoto, Elena, Ryu(if he plays Denjin you must play Stun Gun),Ibuki,Alex,Urien. All of these charaters have one or more good thing in common which is a good normal throw, excelent frame advantage or practical kara throw range. Gouki is going to be zoning Alex so it will be a guess fest anyway up until the moment when you guess right and Gouki loses.

You can guess and be wrong against Gouki many times but one wrong choice by the Gouki player and they do not get to choose the outcome of the match from that point forward. Ducking a HyperBomb for a whole round is not easy espcaily when the Alex player is applying correct mix-up pressure.
Just the mear threat of that super gives rise to openings and movement mistakes against an Alex player who is turning up the heat in normal play outside of super or EX moves.

WTF???

I actually half agree with that one. The other half still wants to play Boomerang raid cause if they stay too close I can still super through the denjin.

If the Ryu player dose the correct set up he won’t be close enough to super.

Top Pro-tip: If the Ryu player charges Denjin-Hado-Ken and releases the button before you get Boomerang Raid out Ryu will only take one hit then you come out of invincible state, the Denjin is still actively hitting on the screen, and you get hit with a fully charged Denjin plus your left in hit stun. Thus the Ryu player can walk in behind it while you are in hit stun and go low forward to roundhouse Tatsumaki-Senpu-Kyaku for a free dizzy. Got put out of a tournament like that, but it had to be learned.

StunGun goes threw all Denjin set ups and punishes wiff on the super on the way down.

if you land a hit it goes through unless you miss the second hit.

and r3nic’s necro loses to Q.

Only if you connect with Boomerang Raid before the Ryu player releases the button. If you don’t black out the screen before the Ryu player releases the button you will get hit during the second hit of Boomerang Raid. Trust me, my reversal timing is pretty nasty and the senerio you are talking about is the exact way I died in the tournament.

okay then.

I retested the set up for Denjin just to see it from your prespective.

It is possible to go threw Denjin at certain close ranges but it must be done as a “REVERSAL” on wake up and the other factor is that Ryu must be close enough so that he gets hit with the whole super or the first or second hit from Boomerang Raid itself will push Ryu out and leave Alex open.

I can not exspress this enough but if the Denjin is timed so that you that wake up into it meaty the super must be a “REVERSAL” or you will get nailed.

And what if the denjin user doesn’t suck? And uses denjin in other ways then just on your wake up… let’s say doing a little bit of stun then doing some thing like a block string denjin…? Picking stun gun is the easy way out of a noob setup. The only time I’ve ever change my super is against chun and I don’t even recommend that.

P.S. Parry owns denjin…

and Q owns Renics Necro.

What other super did you change to when you were fighting Chun-Li? Sounds interesting.

He used Hyper Bomb and then he used Stun Gun and then he used boomerang raid.

stun gun is horrible on chin obviously…
chunli is scared when or if you get close and ex is the nest way to do it.
and even that’s not safe -_-"

Regular powerbomb ftw.
I wouldn’t use the hyper bomb myself…unless I just know when to randomly use it.

His SA2 is better because he can host more ex moves …that’s something that’s is true for him.

Anti air Hyper bomb seems the only useful ‘setup’

I was jk btw, I don’t know what he used.

H-bomb of course…why would anyone use Stun gun?

I only do the back version of Hyperbomb.

Doesn’t both versions of the hyper bomb do equal damage?

Back version does more. Must be the Benoit Eff… Oh wait, shit. Too soon?
