I just cant get the fwd throw, dash, c.mk wiff, j.rh too connect but when i replace the j.rh with j.mk it stuffs his reversals… is it just me?

Sounds like your timing is off.
Not so much a setup but something noteworthy, if you OS a sweep on Fei and he does ex chicken wing you can sweep immediately after your OS and catch Fei. Seems like a stray hitbox.

f.throw, fs fierce, mk demon flip in corner on Rufus. I hadnt seen this one get mentioned so I figured id mention it.

setups like these are awesome. The ones that look like an obvious cross up, but if you block it like a crossup it hits you.

Anyone know which normal to whiff after a DF Palm to allow a safejump against 4f reversals?
Also, specifically against Gouken/Balrog: After landing a DF Palm, which normal to whiff to get another safejump DF Palm?

Try whiffing far st.mk. If done as fast as possible you’ll be able to safe jump ≥4 frame reversals.

No, as you’re at max jump height when the fire ball hits (you go to the opponents other side when the fireball connects, which is why this is so good. They have to know the setup beforehand in order to block.)

If fact, you can combo on ur way down, after the fireball hits, with mk or light kick. Or not, and still have time to c.fierce > tatsu. This setup also stuffs quick stand reversals that arent projectile invincible. This setup is gdlk.

If you want to see it in action to get the timing right (as it is not easy) you should look up KenZo’s FT5 against tokido. He does it after he’s hits KenZo with the unblockable in the corner in the first or second match.

Sry for double post. This setup does work. The roundhouse hits very very deep. And it’s not an ublockable but one of those that looks like an obvious xup that actually hits normally. Manual setups aren’t easy as you have to be frame-perfect. Also you need to know that this setup can be turned into an unHITable if your timing is off. They can block it both ways.

If you think this is hard u should try the similar setup against cammy. Throw, dash, cr.lk whiff,c. st.lk whiff, fwd j.rh. I can get this like 4/10 times. It’s rough.

@ chairman, thanks for confirming that the Guile “unblockable” isnt an unblockable and requires very strict, frame perfect timing, with an unhittable phase if not timed perfect. This thing is so different from say the Ryu unblockable. Needless to say ill pass on the Cammy setup:china:
I will say that the i have performed the air hadou setup quite a few times not realizing that it could be more than a random accidental setup for me. And trying it out in training it seems like its not at all hard for me and actually comes pretty natural for me…I wonder how long ive been unconsciously doing this?:wonder:

That Tokido vs. Kenzo vid is hilarious how tokido schooled him…Another thing i try against someone like guile: After the air hadou, ill neutral jump mk. into cr.mk into hk. tatsu just in case ive conditioned my opponent to block the correct way ill still get in…(on a side note) Guile motivates me to beat the crap out of him, i hate that guy

This needs to be updated, a lot of useful information but you have to read through everything to find it.

At this point it’s just better to wait for AE V2012’s release next month and someone who’s willing to keep the thread updated should start a new one.

Hey guys, I’m kinda back.

I believe there are many setups we’ve discussed that will still be used in 2012. The demon flip throw and tatsu sweep ones are the most obvious I can think off.

I will see if I have the time to update the thread with just these ones, not the ones based on normal throw.

Just for the record, some testings I did:

The F.Throw, Whiff S.Hk, Demon HK Dive seems to be really strict to be used against Ryu in my opinion.
BUT, it will work on almost 4 and 5 framers in the game. That I remember 100% it will stuff or avoid everything Fei Long, Ken, Sagat and Guile have. It will lose to Cammy, Viper and if I remember more characters I will add later.

Another thing:

Tatsu, Sweep, Command Dive Kick as SOON as possible. This will safe jump 4 framers and I was testing against Guy, is perfect. If 4framers miss reversal window most of them will get stuffed.

And also, what is the code for the spoiler tabs?
