Anyone else noticed how that IM’s AA assist perfectly sets up Akuma’s launcher if you dash backward? Three or four hits, then a nice air combo for Akuma.

Seriously? Akuma has a pretty awful launcher. Try using a…useful character instead.
try watching some vids of what the best team can do. like msp, santhrax, row, scrub, mss, icethrax( thats my team but can hold its own), combofiend, watts. those teams can kick some butt. akuma used to be good but u have to really know ur shit to stand a chance against those teams that i listed. seriously. if u use akuma, put him on expansion assist. or anti air if u really need one. every one knows that u need a good anti air assist to keep the higher magz off you. unless ur really good at blocking and knowing how to attack. how long u been playing??
I used to use spiderman, venom and iceman, but quickly found out that most teams will just kill ur team unless u know ur shit. like resets, unblockables, guardbreaks, tech hit guardbreaks, otgs, infinites and other crazy stuff like that. I haven’t used spiderman in a long time but now that i know that i know i can prolly use spiderman in a more careful manner but at the same time kick some ass. I was a scrub back then thinking that team shoto could win but in marvel, that just isn’t true.

I’ve watched some of those videos, but a lot of it I don’t have the coordination to do - those Magneto comboes are WAY out of my league. I’m still trying to reliably get the 3xAHVB to work (or even 2xAHVB would work).
I’m stuck playing it on Xbox though, so no tournaments for me.
How do you do Akuma’s Raging Demon on MVC2??? I tried doin’ it the most common way, i.e: jab, jab, ->, l. kick, m. punch (or was it s. punch?) Anyway, I tried it like that, wit’ either punch and couldn’t get it…what’s the button combination for it? I’m gettin’ it on PS2, but I play on arcade until then, someone PM me the button combo please.
Raging Demon is jab, jab, ->, short, Fierce. You gotta be real quick wit it for it to connect. You know you can combo into it. just get up close do the two jabs (the second one will come out as mp), push forward on joystick then quickly, do short, fierce.
they can still jump out of that. you basically told him to just do the commands for the raging demon and that it will combo. RD is a grab and you cant combo a grab
What i meant was if you do it up close akuma will grab them right as they come out of hitstun from the last hit. Kinda like in air combos you can end em with a throw, you do jab, short,jab,short then wait for them to come out of hitstun and do airthrow(fierce or roundhouse). It’s also like rogue’s does her ground combo that ends with her power drain move (unblockable command throw). She grabs em right after they come out of hitstun (or blockstun if they were blockin)
eh, it seems unblockable but you really just need a quick reaction. you can get out of all of those by jumping
