Almost any upward hitting normal can stuff demon flip, vega has basically no antiair and he can just st.hp, if you still cant deal with it like that, just jump back normal

Anyone paying attention will likely jab you out of demon flip as well if they don’t have a DP. And Juri… don’t bother jumping in at all. You’ll never make it in.

I learned this the hard way a couple days ago.

yeah Juri is a pain. Has an answer for almost anything. I can’t think of a match up that i have to resort to air hado in almost every jump in to cover my ass

That projectile invincible hp pinwheel in 2.5 is gonna be nice vs Akuma for sure.

Can anyone share their button configuration setup for Akuma on the dualshock 4?
I’m trying to get a more efficient setup and just wondered if anyone could share or point me in the direction of a post that already exists on this?

I put mp-lp in ppp so i can plink it easier for the kara demon, your vreversal is kkk too so it doesnt hurt at all and you can still use r1 to do ex moves (who does that tho), it works with both kara overhead and kara vskill

I don’t understand how after a blocked sweep with akuma canceled into vtrigger you’re +14 yet you can’t get the opponent with raging demon which has a 1f startup. Can anyone explain? Yes I know that would be cheap but I just don’t understand why you can’t land it.

I’ve noticed that recently Tokido started using cr.LP as tick button.
I did not know that it is +2. I guess that it has less pushback on block than LP (will test when I get home).

Because the opponent is still in blockstun, you can’t be grabbed while in blockstun.

His worst matchups IMO are balrog, cammy, birdie, guile and zangief

Can you actually get anything off of demon flip dive kick? I’ve been doing crouch jab into bnbs but I don’t think that’s real.

Can’t say I’ve experimented with dive kick a whole lot other than some funky cross-up things in very specific scenarios, but you can get a full combo out of it on counter-hit pretty easily. I use it moreso as a way to change my trajectory or reset/bait more than anything. Now, you CAN combo off of it without counter-hit, but it’s tricky. If you kick them in the foot, you can follow up with just about anything. Other than that, you’re basically looking to hit them in the knee or lower to combo with it.

So, short answer is yes, it’s possible to get something off of it. More complicated answer is, unless you’ve mastered spacing, don’t bother.

I also use it for demon setups. But people get very rage quitey when I do so… meh.

You get a s.lp combo. Dive kick also has anti dp set ups and safe on block. Its -1 or 2 on block so they have to respect it when yoh have demon available.

Balrog is in shit list match tier of his own.

Other than the usual omg vtrigger damage what’s so bad about the Balrog matchup for Akuma? Balrog has no answer for Akuma’s pressure, which is especially strong in the corner. Without a dp demon flip is a serious problem. Tokido tends to go even with iwate and vagabond does OK vs Smug.

Never had much trouble against Balrog tbh, Akuma can bypass his neutral and do some real shit when he is in, but i also never faced a Balrog that knew how to use TAP well before.
