Yea, Blanka has to be the most ridiculous character in the game. Whenever stuff like that happens, it’s best to just let it go.
Practice it in training mode. Took me a little while to get the timing down. Basically you delay it slightly longer than you would mp xx fireball.
Also it helps to use the shortcut. While you are pressing mp move the joystick to down+forward, then back to down, then to down+forward again quickly as you press lk,mk,hk.
I found that mk xx demonflip was slightly easier, since your fingers are right there. ex: lk,lp,mk xx df
Yeah it’s easier, just thought mp was better since I see everyone doing it from that.
this is a weird scenario i got here… i was in the training room and
when i have Ryu in the LEFT corner and i hit him with demon flip dive kick, i end up in front of him
but when i have Ryu in the RIGHT corner and i hit him with the demon flip dive kick, i end up behind him.
why is this??
Ryu is left handed, so when he’s in the left corner his beefier shoulder is towards akuma, making him not cross up

Ok so im typical o9er started playing properly and got a se stick did sanwa mod last year and to help me adjust from pad-stick i put in a circle gate because i was heavy handed but now im more used to stick im wondering what the best gate is for akuma, i seem to be dropping combos a bit. What do people prefer???

really? i’ve never seen this with any of Ken’s moves. they are all the same no matter what corner you’re in.
i think thats pretty stupid. that instantly makes being on the player 2 side much better because it keeps your opponent in the corner. pretty stupid of capcom if you ask me. both sides should be created equally.

ummm yeah. in a world where we count frames and measure hit boxes, that is a huge imbalance. keeping your opponent in the corner is a pretty big deal. it limits their options bigtime.
