Where can I find a list of the characters that standing roundhouse whiffs on the second hit?

Eh. Since when could Abels ex TT grab a reversal dp? That happened to me twice today and I was all like dafuq.

Akuma’s DP has grounded frames after the invincibility frames runs out so I guess it could happen, probably DP ran out of invincibility frames and right before you got off the ground Abe’ls EX TT got active and grabbed you.

Only EX dp is throw invulnerable.

HP DP is throw invincible for the first 6 frames. Akuma remains grounded for two frames after so he can be thrown. EX TT is hit invincible for 6 frames, so in TT vs DP if Abel activates first he loses, if he activates second he wins.

Ooer, interesting. I always thought only EX dp was throw invuln. Not that it really changes anything for me though - the only time throw invuln comes into play for me is when I VS Gief and he’s cranking Ultra 2.

Akuma’s FADC combos I find are more useful for doing something like c.mp/c.mk fireball FADC c.hp, lk tatsu, ender

the c.hp forces stand which allows for the tatsu to hit and therefore begins his mixup setup

Problem is, cr.HP has a 6 fs. startup which makes it hard to combo into (I think it’s a 1fs link?). You’d be better off doing sc.HP or cr.MP xx EX Tatsu as a finisher for that combo if your opponent is crouching.

It’s not a one frame link, it has the same startup as sweep and that’s easy to pull off after fireball FADC, I think the frame advantage is +7 from close range but reaches +8 from far away to make FADC far roundhouse possible depending on the range and hitboxes. I could be wrong though so someone please correct me if so.

I think people don’t use cr.hp much after fireball FADC is because it has crappy horizontal range and you risk whiffing it and get punished (specially after cr.mk FADC), it is useful though if you’re really close after the FADC

It depends on if I’m looking for damage or trying to start a mixup, but you can’t combo into it unless you use a fireball FADC. But normally if they are already standing I’ll do c.mp, sc.hp.

If your looking to finish a combo and can’t get into lk tatsu, I prefer finishing with Ex.fireball. The distance even after c.mp, c.mp is still good for setting up his demon flip mixup.

your right though, you just have to realize what range your at, if you really want the knockdown, just FADC to sweep.

I know but on crouching opponent a :hk: tatsu isn’t a bad option for a ender. Good damage, push in corner, and force stand with FADC ?

i was testing akuma’s changes in 2012 …the second hit of fr.hk whiffs completly on a crouching ryu ???

i tested it in vanilla super after doing cr.lk cr.lp cr.lp cr.lk chain …it didn’t whiff …wtf?

was that in the changes list …don’t remember it …now its 100% useless
