So after a forward throw, do you just mix in dash, dash, MK Demon flip immediate palm? delayed palm?
Just curious. I haven’t really worked DF Palm in to my game yet, that’s next.
hmm not sure. I’ll try tomorrow morning but I believe it should loose to cross counter.
You have to do a somewhat delayed palm since Dudley wakes up one frame slower. If you time it wrong your palm will whiff due to its short amount of active frames. As for cross counter I’m about 90% sure regular cross counter will whiff but ex will catch you.
So according to the 50/50 mixup video, After a cr.lk, cr.lp, cr.mp xx lk tatsu, sweep combo, I should be at medium sweep range and be able to immediately jump in on Fei with HK. Video here, time = 1:37

Kinda figured as such. I duno why these tutuorials don’t say these things.
Also “delay a frame” or “delay a bit” sucks cause its viable (for me) to screw it up by delaying too much
If you’ve got an Xbox, just change the dashboard language to Japanese. Same for PS3 and PC I believe. If you do this make a note of how to change it back! By the way It will be Balrog > M.Bison, Vega > Balrog, Bison > Vega and above all Akuma will be Gouki!
I know when I used to play Vanilla on PC all it took was to move a few files around to change all of that and my menus and stuff stayed in English. Probably should have written down how to do that in hindsight…but it should work the same, its the same engine after all.
Lucky day, I was able to find what files I renamed.
In “street fighter iv\Battle\Hud” and “street fighter iv\Game\Menu”, rename the ENG folder to whatever you like (I just made it ENG2) and rename the JPN folder to ENG.
In “street fighter iv\Battle\Narration”, rename BTL_NAR_E.CPK and BTL_NAR_E.CSB to BTL_NAR_E2.CPK/CPS, then rename BTL_NAR_J.CPK/CPS to BTL_NAR_E.CPK/CPS.
That seems to be all I did for Vanilla, and I believe that changes the names around in all the menus, character select, below health bars during fights, and the changes in the narration folder make the announcer say the right names when someone wins. Hope that’s helpful for the AE PC version of this game.
battle/ hud works on ae & changes the name on the hud, but the others do not work since that files dont exist on ae thanks so much anyways for your efforts.
OK im playing like crap right now but have a question. Should I be able to ultra kara demon off a crouching mk from point blank without hitting the other dude with the kick?
ok good. I guess i should use f+mp kara? If im trying to punish a move I dont want to get the jab out… that or press jab earlier during blockstun i suppose.
yup. Either will work. you can also n. jump and buffer it into a whiffed j.HK. Won’t work if it’s a DP whiff punish though because you’ll likely kick them in the air.
So when you combo c.LP into HP are you supposed to have enough time to hit confirm there? It seems way too fast for me but I’d like to add this to my arsenal for the stun.
If you can’t hit confirm fast enough, use 3 crouching jabs. I’m super slow and even i can hit confirm that. I also suck at the cr.lp into st.HP link when i’m playing online.
