The one blessing is that since Oni can’t FADC cancel the SRK you can use empty jump set ups on him to bait out the SRK. If Oni pulls the trigger and it doesn’t connect it is free damage.

Btw cross up tatsus do work on him right? I have tried it out, they usually do not auto correct it.

Really dumb question but is it possible to jumping os u1 to punish back dashers? and if so how come i never see anyone use it?

Yep. Tons of people use it. You just have to know where you can use it.

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone found any input shortcuts for comboing into Ultra 2?
I’ve already got the st.HP xx teleport xx Ultra 2 down, but eventually I want to be able to combo from cr.MP xx teleport xx Ultra 2 as well.

I’m using a keyboard myself, but it shouldn’t matter that much what kind of controller you use with Akuma (hasn’t untill now anyways).

dumb question but what is the frame on block for df dive kick and palm? For some reason its not there on the frame data

It’s because it is dependent on when you hit your target and who your target is. For instance the frame advantage off of tall characters like Sagat can be completely different than say a character like Blanka who is shorter.

In most cases the frame advantage is large enough that you don’t need to worry about it too much.

Can someone give a link to all of Akumas option selects/how to do them.For some reason I can’t find this in the forum. :frowning:

All option selects are done in the same way. If you understand how to do one you understand how to do all of them, you just exchange the commands for the move you want.

For Air option selects

Perform air attack, quickly perform the command for the OS, hold Downback+the attack button used in the command.

So say for instance you want OS Tatsu off of a Jumping HK

J.:hk:, :qcb:, Hold :hk:+:db:

You just have to perform the command fast enough so it only comes out if the move hits.

Same way.

Flip palm, Hold :db:+:hk:

When you get the idea down you will realize creating your own OS is rather easy. All of the OSes are performed the exact same way the only difference is the command you use.

Alright, thanks for all the info mate.Last questions. Can you give an idea of the timing. For example the OS Tatsu off of a Jumping HK. Wen do I press the HK ,how close to the gound and what is the timing of the tatsu after it. Just do it as fast as possable ? Also will c.MP Hold :db:+:hk: (for example) work as OS too ?

I’m missing something here probably, why is D/B+HK (hold) needed? Isn’t the tatsu motion enough?

Just wondering. Is cr.lp > cr.mp / cr.lp > cr.lp or cr.mp > cr.mp universal frame traps for every character? I think they all have a 1 or less frame window for the opponent to do something. So it should stuff all normals right? I think the fastest normal is 2 frame?

How come when i attempt some of these, sometimes i get mashed out by jabs from the opponent. Am i doing them too late? How can i time these better?

Where’s the best place/video to go to get a full understanding of how they work? It’s time I start incorporating them into my game with Gouki and Juri.
