Will I agree with the Hurricane Kick into KKZ, not much damage and can be worthless but at least packs some style
Was watching this long ass vid on Streak’s site which had Gouki vs Hugo and at the beginning of the 2nd match the Gouki player did a j.mk and right before he landed on the ground he did the demon flip while still airborne, now I may be blind in one eye and have a bad case of pink eye in the other, and couldn’t see well from swimming in a pool full of chlorine all day, but I saw what I saw! So can anyone explaind this to me, is it actually possible to a demon flip while still in the air.
The over-all question is is KKZ better than Raging Demon
No it isnt overall - Way more set ups for SGS.
Yes, KKZ is more shittier than shungokusatsu but back to my question. Here’s a link to the page where I found the vid it should the first one on there called Gouki vs Hugo.

Just pay close attention to the beginning of the 2nd match
that Akuma really likes to turtle his ass off!
That jab reset into the KKZ isn’t that tough to pull off. As someone pointed out earlier that qcb motion from the lk hurricane kick counts as a down. So after the hurricane kick connects, I just reset with jab hit down twice, making sure I hold down the second time and press punchx3. I can stick it pretty consistantly, but I sometimes forget to hold down and just tap it.
Oh yeah, a thanks goes out to Sir Wilson for pointing out how to do the dashing raging demon. I always assumed you had to do the whole reging demon input during the dash, not just the two jabs. Thanks
I’m glad that Hugo won in that match vid. That akuma was making me sick. I mean how many air fireballs can you throw. I can understand being scared of a 360 but c’mon that was kind of a cheesy strategy on the akuma player’s part
I’ve been able to do a dash in raging demon on the DC but it never connects with my reset jab. I set the cpu on jump and when he lands I do c.mk, weak HK, reset jab then I dash into a raging demon and it comes out perfectly no jab inputs come out but as soon as I do it the cpu is able to jump out of it, I thought a dash in RD was suppose to be inescapeable what the hell am I doing wrong.
Yeah the Akuma player deserved to lose for turtling so fucking much but did you notice in the beggining of the 2nd round that it looked like he was able to do the demon flip in the air?
As far as I know, all Raging Demon setups are escapable except far standing hkxxRD because it combos. All the others you can jump out of it. Wait now that I think about it, there should be frames after the opponent lands before he’s allowed to jump again.
Sorry I’m not much of an Akuma player I play more yang dudley and Q. But i like having a feel of all the characters.
I’m going to look at that match vid again. Maybe I’m not playing it on the right player or something (not much of a computer person) but the vid isn’t very high quality. I’m pretty sure he’s landing first then doing the demon flip
Its only inescapable if they don’t jump before the FLASH of the super starting. And if they are crouching and out of hit stun.
If someone can sense a Raging demon comming they will probably jump as soon as they see you start to dash so they will go over you , again this is why you need to play mind games and mix yer stuff up then catch em out.
do you press down ounce or twice and then jab and down again 3punhes hold or just down jab down 3punches hold?
Just do the jab then DDD+pp really fast thats all there is to it and Akuma will activate it at the apex of the height they go after the Jab reset and BAM!!! It hits.
Hey i’m still waiting for 3rd strike to come out on ps2 so I won’t ask for help yet. But just so I know can ayone tell me the tier list for 3rd strike.
one more thing is it possible to tiger knee his air fire ball and hurricane kick super?
does the jab need to hit opponent??
or it is just there to reset??
Yes the stand Jab needs to hit them.
This needs a bump, although the Demon is better than the KKZ, this is still a cool trick to know.
I can’t do this on the anal DC controllers, but I’m sure this is the only un-combo in the entire game. KKZ damage resets after the jab and the computer fails to count it as a combo although it can’t be escaped.
has anyone seen that rx vid? where akuma taunts and does a kkz on another croutching akuma and it takes off 100% of his life. madness. :wow:
There are three situations where this move+taunt will do more damage than a full lifebar.
vs crouching Gouki- 104%
vs taunting Gill- 108%
vs X.C.O.P.Y. end Twelve- 128%
I havent seen that can anybody tell me where to download it?
