He hasen’t even mounted it yet, he has no idea how it fairs compared to a sanwa (it’s equal to if not better playing than the Sanwa)

It’s a matter of taste. I have the two of them and I like playing with both. However I noticed that some people are more picky than others when it comes to joysticks. For example, a friend of mine tried playing with my seimitsu joystick and he found it horrible. I also read here that some people can’t play 2d games properly on sanwa joysticks. Personally, I don’t think that they are that different, and I feel comfortable with both.

Yeah, I don’t know how well I’ll play on it. I just thought it felt a little too stiff, but a lot of people like that. Same with the buttons, there’s more resistance than Sanwa, which again I’m not used to. But we’ll see how it all works out in the end. It would actually be better if I liked Seimitsu better since they’re cheaper : )

Ah, must have been that other French customer then.

About Sanwa vs Seimitsu…I personally like the Sanwa JLF the most, dunno why, I just do. But it is a matter of personal prefrences. Be happy that it is possible to choose rather than saying that one is best and that one is crap.

Whats the Diffrence in wirring the 5 wire Seimitsu LS-55-01 and the Seimitsu LS-55. I have only made Americans Competition sticks in the past, but now am building a machine. Normally I just make quick connects to the cherry switches then soder the other end to the PCB. Are the 5 wires L,R,U,D, and ground??

just got my stuff, thank you TRNG

also i bought a JLF how do u know which side is u, d, l, r. my first time building a stick so just a newb question.

My stuff came thismorning, everything looks nice. Can’t wait to pop these PS-14-K’s in, thanks TRNG.

Oh man, I’m regreting airmail now lol.

5-PIN cable is:
Up, Down, Left, Right. GROUND.
If you are more comfortable with the HAPP`s then LS-55 is for you.

Nice. Enjoy.

I understand how you feel, I hate that feeling :).

Per,

Same thing on the Seimitsu 5 pin? Layout wise like in the drawing or different wiring setup?

yeah i understand thanks again.

I don`t remember this exactly BUT Sanwa and Seimitsu uses japanese arcade standard so arcadevendors who switches joysticks on the arcadecabs can do it easy, that is why both Sanwa & Seimitsu uses the 5-pin standard.

That’s a really helpful diagram, Per. I wish I had it when I wired up my first stick : ) I had to just figure it out based on the inside pics of your stick and the diagram you had in there.

Thanks man. I’ve seen your response to all these ppl in this thread and am very impressed. Both you and DreadedFist really know how to take care of your ppl. I know I can buy from you guys with confidence and look forward to making my order soon. Keep up the great work. Its ppl like you and DF that make the Fighting Game scene so good.

Hey, Siemitsu buttons are nice, I kind of like the stiff feel to them, good bye to random EX’s.

Yeah, I love the stiffness, not to say they aren’t responsive, but when you press it, you press it.

It’s just too bad that Dreaded Fist doesn’t buy from Per yet. Himuragames has caused a 5+ week delay on my DF Stick.
