** Akishop.jp is now OPEN **

When will the next batch of orders be taken?

hey per i sent an urgent email regarding my order. it is under r.chie.flores@gmail.com

Hi guys.

Sorry for all this problems I do not know why they did not wait until they sent me all pics, that will for sure change until next order. I will update on Saturday (I am so busy with school right now) but one thing is for sure, everybody will be compensated, no worries.

/Per

Sounds good.

I sent in an email with an attachment of the order to order@akihabarashop.com, its been more than a week but i get no reply? Also used the contact at their main page to ask about my order, but get no reply either…

I feel like I have to say this every few pages because people still don’t understand how Akihabara Shop works. I know this is a common problem online, but if people could just read a bit instead of just going crazy about not getting responses or asking dumb questions, it would make the internet world a lot less annoying.

First and foremost, read the Services page here: http://www.akihabarashop.com/services.html

One would think that you would read up on the services/faq page of any place they are potentially buying from, but I guess not…

Per has just recently opened up the shop again, but he hasn’t indicated how frequently he will be taking orders. It may be back to the bi-weekly orders he used to do or it maybe be less. In any case, he DOES NOT keep stock. All parts are ordered AFTER the group order date. He then gets the whole supply of parts, organizes them, then ships them to the customer. If there is no information on the Status page about the next order date, then there is no information.

Do NOT expect him to answer your inquiries on a daily basis especially not right now when he HAS NOT indicated when there will be another order date. You can obviously download his order form and fill it out and send it but there’s really no point if no order date has been announced.

As of now, just sit tight. Wait for word from Per or check the status page, but try and not ask questions that show that you obviously haven’t read the Services page or checked the Status page.

ooops. I probably shouldn’t have sent he order + payment so !?

Ah well, I don’t mind waiting

Just got my order in and, everything is perfect:tup: Thanks a Million Per!

are you taking orders now ??

That wasn’t my experience. The Status Page didn’t have an updated order message, but I used the order form and sent it in anyway.

Per was prompt in replying to me and I sent him payment immediately thereafter.

When Per posted the shipment pictures a few days ago here, I saw my order among them. No problems at all. I still haven’t got my parts in, but I have no problem being patient for it.

What I would say, though, is that before Akihabara Shop opened, the options for acquiring Japanese parts were few indeed. You could:
[]Place an industrial-size order with Excellent.com, who only deal in bulk wholesale.
[
]Order from a massively overpriced German outfit (like forty bucks for a Sanwa JLF, plus shipping)
[]Try to get a bunch of people to go in on a large order with you from Sanwa
[
]Send an email inquiry to Sanwa itself and hope that someone returned your message in a month. Enjoy the wait. They never replied to me, I can tell you.
In other words, you had to work hard to get the goods.

Rod at Himuragames was doing a decent job ordering stuff for people for several years, but recently he appears to have, er, disappeared.

Per has clearly put great thought and effort into creating a process that gives regular joes semi-regular access to otherwise hard-to-procure gaming parts. I guess I choose to believe that a person like that has good intentions, and when mistakes occur I have buckets of patience for such people.

blakbuzzard, this past order date is the first and only time Per hasn’t changed the status page when an order date had been opened. The reason being is he only gave one week notice because he had to put in a LARGE commercial order for someone and they needed it in a hurry. Also, since he hasn’t officially reopened the site for regular operation (regular order dates) that’s the main reason he didn’t change the status page. He only replied to your inquiry before because he was in fact taking orders for the quick batch, but since he has been too busy and since there are still problems with his contact, he has not officially reopened the site. Hence, it makes no sense right now to put in an order because does not typically respond to e-mails about orders until he has decided another order date.

Also:

 1. You don’t need to order large quantities for ExcellentCom. I’ve done it in the past with smaller orders. Big or small they don’t care.

 2. You can’t order directly from Sanwa if you are not in Japan. They don’t ship internationally which is why they didn’t respond to you.

And I’m with you, I’m patient when it comes to Per because I consider him a good guy and a personal friend. That’s why I didn’t complain or anything when my order from last year of over 30,000yen didn’t get here. I know he was having problems with his contact. Not only was I still waiting patiently when new orders started, but I actually added over 20,000yen to my order.

Per has always been my supplier since he started Akihabara Shop so I definitely have trust and patience in him. And I’m without a doubt his single largest customer since he’s opened. That is why I try to inform people to do the common sense stuff and read his webpage and check the status page. That way they don’t get pissed when they don’t get a response from him.

I found his website through a link on another forum. I filled up the spreadsheet & sent it with payment (paypal) without contacting him first (this was last week).

Don’t mind waiting but wondering if I should just ask Per for my money back until he is taking orders !?

Per has been busy since he is back in school, but he said he would update everyone Saturday. I’m sure he’ll say something about future orders and such so I would wait until then.

Got my parts today (very impressed with airmail from Japan!)
Everything seems fine, only thing that struck me as strange is my Seimitsu screw-in button doesn’t have a nut to fasten it? It actually doesn’t matter, as bizarrely I’m not actually using it for it’s original purpose. I’m usually a snap-in guy, so it’s possible this is totally normal too, and I’m just missing something obvious (like a brain…)

My seimitsu screw in buttons had the nuts in a seperate bag.

I will update today, no worries…

 1. Cant go wrong when ordering from Per, quality parts from a guy you can totally trust!

 2. Have patients, even though status page ain’t updated he’s doing his best to sort everything out for everyone (Paik would know, patients of a god! )

 3. Per’s too cool for school!

Hey Per. when do you take new orders?? i have tried to write to you, but i know i need a little patience:-) thanks mamut5: meisterdwarf@hotmail.com

I will be ordering from Per for the fourth time now and I think he is doing a great service for the community. I do not know where else I could get all the variety of Sanwa and Seimitus parts. I think he is doing us a favor, so I would like everyone here to try to make his job as easy and smooth as possible. I would like to ask everyone who has ordered to have patience. Please do not flood his inbox with the same emails/inquires if he does not respond right away and read the services page on the main site. I will continue being a customer for a long time and I would like to see akihabarashop stay open and grow for many more years.:angel:Thank you

I updated the statuspage:

Your order will be sent on Tuesday (as the rest off the bottom ones). This is because I had to but them ina special category and pay for them myself (you know why :/). Please be patient…I will tell them to lower value on package.

As for incomplete orders I will collect all info about them in this thread and reorder the parts for you all next batch, hope you can wait.
