hey TheRealNeoGeo, do you run akihabarshop.com? i need a place to buy a stick from…could you tell me how much the following would cost and how i can place an order? i’d like to order asap…
1 sanwa JLF-TP-8Y stick with pink balltop
1 sanwa GT-Y octagonal gate
and one other thing, i live in canada, but i would like you to ship the parts to someone i know living in the US…so will i be able to pay through paypal with my account and pay for shipping to the US location? and if i placed an order tomorrow, how long would it take to reach?
Soul Survivor, if you go to Akihabarashop.com then you would find the answer to most of your questions. For example, a JLF-TP-8Y is 2600 yen and a GT-Y is 550 yen.
If you go to the “Services” pages you would find out that orders are only every two weeks as a group order NOT on an individual basis. Services page would also tell you the different shipping methods and times. Also you would find that every order comes with an 800 yen handling charge.
The status page tells you when the next order date is (in this case July 30th).
The only things that you would NOT have found by looking at their webpage is how much shipping total will be (you must send an inquiry through the webpage and he will get back to you on this) and the total time it takes to get an order from the order stop date. I’ve ordered from Akihabara shop probably as much as any single customer and I’ve found that by using EMS, you get parts about 2-3 weeks AFTER the order stop date. That would mean about the third week of August in this case.
In the future please put some effort into finding the answers to your questions before asking them here. Lastly, if you’re looking for parts immediately, I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a GT-Y from another store that could provide it quicker than Akihabara Shop. You may have some luck if you ask in the Trading Outlet however. Good luck.
Are Seimitsu buttons the ones that have the super short travel of Sanwa’s, but the satisfying “click” that Happ’s have? Or am I thinking about Korean buttons (Crown or whatever)?
Just sent an email with my order and everything in it. Is it okay to send your order then pay later? I plan on paying on friday when my job sends money this way.
Per, does the JLW bat top fit on a JLF? i just got a JLW bat top recently, and i can’t fit it on the JLF. your site says it has a bat top that fits on “any seimitsu and sanwa”. is that a different bat top?
The bat-top itself is probably the same, but while it can be fitted directly to thicker shafts (like that of the JLW-UM-8) an adapter is needed for thinner (regular) shafts. This adapter is included when you buy a bat-top (or 45 mm balltop which should work the same way, at least those from Sanwa) separately but I’m guessing it isn’t when bundled with a JLW-UM-8.
Hey Per, did you get my order for 8 buttons under the name Shekeib Shaffiey?
I sent it a few days ago and the site hasn’t been updated, I’m sure you got it but I just wanted to make sure since I didn’t wanna miss the July 30th deadline.
I ordered with EMS shipping so will I get this stuff before EVO? I’m leaving for evo on the 17th.
You have to have payment in by the order stop time. Per probably hasn’t been answering or updating the site because of problems with his internet at the moment. I spoke to him yesterday and he’s still having problems so forgive him if he doesn’t respond right away.
Mayhem is corrrect. When you buy the bat top separately you get a small adapter. You obviously wouldn’t need one if you buy it with the JLW-UM.
If you already ordered for the July 16th date, he’ll probably be sending parts out within a week. If you are part of the July 30th order then parts won’t ship until probably the second week of August and EMS takes 3-5 days. Normally expect to get parts within 3 weeks of the order date. Shekeib, you’ll be cutting it close.
These are all just helpful responses from me who is not at all associated with Akihabara Shop. I just shop there waaaaaaay too much.
Lol, I thought you were somehow associated with Akihabara, every time I ask a question, it’s either you or Per that answers. It’s cool though, I’m sure Per appreciates you. You are just one helpful dude.
Sorry for not updating the statuspage, I will this week though.
For this next order (30th of July) we will pack each part in vinyl (plastiq bag) to prevent it from scratching. We got two “complaints” about scratched buttons (Seimitsu does not use protectionsticker like Sanwa do). We will see how this goes.

I got your paypal :), thank you.
!(?_?)!
Neither Sanwa or Seimitsubuttons “click”. Korean buttons click though…

When you buy from me you get a small adapter so it will fit the JLF also. Seimitsu LB-45 has small hole like ordinary LB-35 so adapter is not needed. Sanwa LB-45 needs an adapter (it is included when you buy it).

Hello again, I got your paypal, no problems. I will update statuspage later this week. Sorry for the trouble.
Top one is my order :). You know often even the stickered buttons have marks no matter where they are from.
A little bit of tcut brings them up to a lovely shine. Try it on old buttons too.
