Since Akihabarashop isn’t taking orders for a little while, does anyone know if your average hardware store would carry quick disconnects? Also, what sort of tools would I need to use them?
hey trng,
you gotta update my order. the parts i updated to the order are not listed.
this was done before the shop stopped taking orders my order # is 2057
My order is 1736 heading to Texas. It arrived at Chicago’s customs on 13th and still there.

Not Quite sure about local, but I just order some for a customer of mine just in case off of ebay for dirt cheap (100 pack). Here’s the link http://cgi.ebay.com/100-Solderless-Red-Female-Quick-Disconnect-22-18-110_W0QQitemZ260372698889QQihZ016QQcategoryZ50549QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
My order shipped yesterday but no tracking info yet. How long does it normally take to get tracking info?
Excellent, thanks a lot for that. Are those the correct size for sanwa microswitches?
Edit: also, do I need a crimping tool or will needle nose pliars do the job?
Homedepot have lots of qd’s. Thats where i always get them.
Dem-Dem says: “When crossing the international date line orders in america should lose a day so if they were shipped on monday in japan with three days travel time packages should start to arrive as early as tuesday!”
Hmm, the homepage says that orders #1765 - #1873 have been shipped but my account still says that my order (#1838) is still in processing stage Wonder what’s the dealio there.
Its been shipped but the information hasn’t updated fully. It took several days for me to get tracking info after they had posted pictures of the shipped contents in this thread. Give it a few days to get that info
My order is 2086, and I got the processing email today. It’s not clear to me if I can do a color swap of the ball tops and buttons now, or do I have to wait until the 23rd. It’s a change of colors, but I’m not adding anything new. In addition, I’m ordering only Seimitsu parts. Specifically, I’d like to change the 2 clear bubble ball tops to 2 blue bubble ball tops, 3 clear/white 24mm buttons to 3 blue versions, and 6 clear skeleton buttons to 6 blue skeleton buttons. I really want to change colors, but I also don’t want a delay, but in the worst case, I’d rather go with a color change if that means waiting until the 23rd.
I’ve seen quite a few posts regarding order changes, so I’m hoping they’ll be able to do the same with me without having me wait until the 23rd and causing further delay. Keeping my fingers crossed.
@Mindzeye82: Thanks - hopefully that is the case and I can get tracking details soon Cheers mate.
You probably arnt going to get tracking until it gets to your place. As long as you know its coming.
Sanwa microswitches use .110, so that link is the right size. American microswitches use .187.
Ebay is much cheaper than even Homedepot. You should be able to get them from 5 to 8 cents (depending on how many you buy) each on Ebay. Parts like these are one thing Ebay is still really good for.
You’ll also want to use a crimping tool. Even the cheap $5-10 ones at Homedepot are way better than pliers. I heard the REAL crimping tools that are $40+ are the real deal, but I haven’t bought one yet myself.
What size is seimetsu microswitches?
I’ve looked a few pages back and I don’t believe TRNG has stated this.
I’m order #1918, hopefully this is correct.
