can i use a regular JLF shaft on a JLW-UM-8?
i don’t really like Bat tops.
The UM-8 also can be fitted with a balltop but it’s the large balltop. I haven’t worked with a UM myself, but it’s unlikely that you could use the JLF shaft with it without some significant modding. If you’re looking for something similar to the UM that has a normal balltop, the TM is your best bet.

You can not use a regular jlf-shaft on the UM (that meanes you have to use 45mm balls or bats), I think that is impossible sir. I took some pics:

tolkien, you were definitely not scammed. Per is very good with Akishop and you are the first to have not gotten their parts. Judging by your most recent posts in this thread, you made an order during the April 30th stop date which has NOT shipped yet due to the fact that there was a Japanese national holiday (Golden Week May 3-7). Per made an announcement that those orders would be pushed back a week. Actually, since your last post asking a question was actually on April 30th, I’m guessing you didn’t put in your order or pay by April 30th and thus your order is in the May 21st order stop cycle which is still open until this Sunday.
Shipping of the April 30th order stop date is this week (may have already shipped by now) so if that’s the case you should get them either late this week (if you chose EMS) or up to two weeks from now (if you chose regular airmail).
Many people are not aware of how Akihabara Shop does orders. Orders are NOT sent on an individual basis. Orders are accumulated over a 2 week period and are sent to Seimitsu and Sanwa all together the day AFTER the order stop date (Monday). It usually takes until about Thursday or Friday for AkiShop to get the parts from Seimitsu and Sanwa. Then AkiShop organizes the orders and takes pictures for approval. This is usually done over the weekend (one week after order stop date) and orders are shipped out to customers the following Monday or Tuesday (about 9 days after order stop date). From THAT point shipping times take place (3-5 days for EMS and 1-2 weeks for regular airmail).
EDIT: Just to let everyone know, I’m not affiliated with Akihabara Shop. I’m not an employee or anything. I’m just friends with Per and have ordered from AkiShop and Per on at least 4 or 5 different occassions with no problems. I just know how the shop works and the timing very well and just want to try to provide answers for people who are confused. I also don’t want posts like tolkien’s to deter other people from buying from AkiShop if the accusations are premature due to misunderstanding on the part of AkiShop customers.

Got my stick just a few minutes ago and it’s working great! Thanks for the great service. Btw, I installed the Seimitsu LS-32-01 in my HRAP. I didn’t need to go through any rewiring shenanigans to deal with the mounting plate being oriented wrong…I just reoriented it.
For people who are going to do this mod, just take the mounting plate off the LS-32-01 and rotate it 90 degrees and then install it so the 5 pin connector is facing the buttons. This way you can just use the 5 pin connector from before the mod and not have to worry about remapping the directions.
