Sorry but I’ll be dropping out (DTG).
^same.

Thats all folks. As of now brackets are locked and we will not be accepting any new recruits. :looney:
Zedd56: You’ve been added to the roster. Thanks for joining.
4649/DropGate: You both have been removed from the roster. Sorry that you guys won’t be able to attend. Hopefully the event will run smoothly then we can report back the good news to you guys. Should there be any future events, please feel free to join again.
Don’t forget to hit up the #akatsuki channel for some casuals. :cybot:

Made a minor update in the first post. Going to get into more details about netplay issues and configuring options for the most optimal play. Sorry about doing this at the last minute .
Here’s what the bracket looks like atm…
Akatsuki/Mizuumi HELLCAMPF Tourney  :badboy:
This is a note for the upcoming tourney as well as netplay in general. The best settings we’ve found thus far are:
- Delay 4
- Frameskip OFF
- VSync ON
The delay is set in the online part within the game itself. To set frameskip and vsync, open the config.exe (set to Win2K compatibility mode if it doesn’t start up), click on the 2nd tab on the bottom row. There will be two checkboxes at the bottom. The first one is frameskip, leave this UNCHECKED. The second one is vsync, which needs to be CHECKED. With these settings, the game is playably smooth halfway across the country; unfortunately, beyond that the game will start to lower FPS to compensate for the lag.
OMG, still with the updates??!!!
Yes, another update before FINALLY starting this ish (read post #1). Here are the rules reiterated and a bit more detailed as I mentioned earlier:
Format
**
Battles**
-Rounds are set to 2 point matches
-Best 2 out of 3 matches for pools
-Best 3 out of 5 for all finals (winners, losers and grand finals)
-The character you win with you must select again for the next match. However, should you lose the first match (and/or second for finals) you are allowed to switch
characters.
-Double elimination
Control Settings
-Keyboard is allowed. KB users must notify the mods (Zar, Bellreisa, Sibladeko) that they are using kb for the event and what keys are being used (lol I’m not doing this next time around).
-Mapping/macros are allowed (a+b, b+c, a+b+c)
-Start/Pause button MUST be set to the “1” key on yourkeyboard (even if you are using keyboard for this event) this is to insure that you will not mistakenly pause during a match.
-It is very important that you set your configuration before connecting w/ your opponent. Please double check your buttons to make sure everything is as it should be (even if this means going to training mode before connecting).
Replays and Recording
-Before starting your first match, completely empty out your replay folder, then goto either .exe (go to Option->Game Setting) or .config menu (First tab->Auto Record Replays) and set the Save Replay feature on. From this point on, both you and your opponent will have all matches automatically saved into your replay folder.
-After your match is complete, contact a mod so that we may decide how your replays will be transfered (most likely DCC).
…And that’s that. Looking forward to the upcoming matches and I hope this will be a learning experience for all (even if it is NEETPLAY -lol-).
i guess its too late for me to be apart of the tournament right? well good luck to everyone else then, cant wait to see the vids
