I guess Subtle Style liked watching Nanoha a lot. :looney:
yeah i pointed out in the old abk:aa thread that perfecti is a huge nanoha reference, it’s pretty amusing
that was pretty godlike… LOL
Hey all, I just started to pick up blitzkampf and i’m trying to get the caster to work(online mode). If we use the standby option we can connect and we play for about 1 round and then it locks up and closes on both of our computers. Any idea what would cause this?
It’s going to be a local problem, since relay is only a matchmaking service; the connection is still P2P. Make sure both of you can run a full game on your own side.
We both can, we’ve both unlocked the characters which means both of us went through arcade mode a couple times each.
The unlocking is no longer an issue since latest caster auto-unlocks. Make sure both of you have the latest version from the wiki. Does caster print out any error messages?

we both just got it today from the same wiki page and we are both on 1.1.3.1 sp1. and no we don’ot get error messages. thegame jus tkind of locks up and then closes.
This is strange. I have not heard of a bug like this so far.
Please elaborate on exactly when this happens. If it’s in the middle of a match, then it’s most likely networking issues. If it’s always at round end or match end, then it’s likely that you have mismatched round settings. (Though I thought I had checked to make sure they were synced between clients.)
Make sure both of you are set to the same round count.
It’s always in the middle of the match, it’ll start to lag pretty bad, them lock up, then it’ll sit there for a while and then the game closes just as if you’d hit escape. This also happens on direct connect, not just through the standby eoption. As soon as I talk to some other people who play i’ll try and connect to them and see if it’s his comp or mine that’s screwing it up(although from what it sounds like both of us are locking up and closing at the same time in the same place).
edit: additionally we lag pretty bad and we are within like 10 minute driving distance of eachother(city driving distance too, no highways). We both have good connections as well.
Yeah uh… Sounds like router failure of some sort. Caster says something like “ERROR: Timeout” I’m assuming. But I really don’t know because I’m getting hardly any information here - It seriously does not sound like a problem with Caster itself.
This would be like 80x easier/faster/less spammy if you’d take the five minutes to pop by IRC or the webchat or something and I could ask you questions directly.
Good point, I’m heading out right now but I’ll start checking the IRC to see if you’re in, thanks a lot for the help. caster is not giving us any error whatsoever though. If it helps at all I’m on a linksys router and i do NOT have the ports forwarded, but I’m not hosting either. I’m not sure what his specs are.

I tried to get my friend into this game then he did a super and Zieg Heil flashed up on the screen and he was like, “What the fuck are we playing?”
A game funded by Mel Gibson.

Ok just to clarify for those asking about it:
When landing from air reset hitstun or air blockstun there is a landing pose. I don’t know for sure how many frames it is, let’s just say it looks like 4-5 or something (it doesn’t matter). This entire landing pose is vulnerable to throws/command throws. But the landing pose can’t be canceled by a jump, walk, backdash, or frontdash. It can be normal/throw/special/super canceled though.
So regarding Kanae’s traps, she can “meaty” the throw as you’re landing from an air hit/block and you will not be able to escape it with a jump or dash. Mashing A or mashing throw also won’t work because the throw hits meaty and those attacks have startup. The only way to avoid the throw is with a reversal, like a DP. Otherwise yeah it’s guaranteed because you have zero throw inv during that pose.
