I have been playing this game for a month straight now. It is really addictive. Anyone still play online is it any good?
Is there any trick to the timing of Akatsuki’s 214+A loop? After the standing C, the 214+A comes out too fast and I don’t hit them.
Also, if there is a better combo than this, I would really love to know.
No trick, just timing. You’re doing it too fast. Get the rhythm down with some vids you’ll figure it out pretty fast.

i’m also hoping that ausf achse (sp?) will get a pc port, although i kinda doubt it will happen anytime soon.
i still play this every now and then, when i’m bored… it gets very stale very fast unless you have people to play with online. sad that none of my friends are into it.
is the mizuumi channel any more active than it used to be? akbk’s pc crew was pretty small, there wasn’t a lot of hype around this game.

@evilink: it’s set up for a pad, you’ve got to set the config to compatibility mode for windows 2000
also, you should grab the nethack from the wiki. i think there might also be an english config there, i can’t remember though…

I play it a lot, and mostly everyone here who wrote in this thread maybe still plays it, but i cant deny that the hype has somewhat died because 99% of us are still waiting for a PC/console port of Ausf Achse… i guess.
I’ll get into it once I get my mitts on a copy(thanks, Sazae). I’ve decided that I’m going to main Anonym because she’s outrageously sexy.
I posted a bunch of practical nun combos on the akatsuki/mizuumi wiki a little over a month ago. It shows a large variety of round/bullet specific and position specific combos as well as damage to help you decide the optimal effectiveness at most areas of the stage.
As people began to lose interest, so did I on continuing to work on her wiki so the areas I touched on (general strats and combos) are very incomplete. It’s missing even more position specific combos (2-3 char space from corner combos- extremely damaging btw) and the general strat area needs to be discussed more in-depth. But I wont do this until I can get in more match exprience i.e. PEOPLE NEED TO START PLAYING THIS GAME…
But whatever, I hope that’s enough to get you started. Good luck getting people on #akatsuki (irc.mizuumi.net) to netplay you…let alone say anything at all in the channel.
