Akatsuki BLITZKAMPF - PC Thread (1131sp1) - Its still playable!

hahahaha i wanna try that shit on somebody

Good shit.

“After any launcher, I’m sure you all know you can do j.A … j.B, qcb+C as a bread and butter mid-screen? I also think you can just tack on an ABC after the j.B but I’m not sure.” <- Yeah, ABC works, just activate the instant you land.

This game is quite nifty =)

Is there any point trying to host a match if its all IP based?

EDIT:

You also need to specify the port you are using (TCP) and make sure it’s open if you’re behind a router. Also whichever port you are using, when you host you need to set it to that port (IP can be set to whatever when you host).

Also you aren’t gonna be able to play anyone smoothly outside of the UK/Eastern Europe probably. You should come to the IRC channel (#blitzkampf on EFnet), I think polarity would like to have someone to play.

I would suggest you dont post your IP. That isnt a smart thing to do

PLZ edit my quote in your post

I need to get IRC again. Last time I tried IRC it never work well for me. I’ll try again.

EDIT: Ok I’m currently in #blitzkampf (not 100% sure since no one else is in the same room lol).

Yeah there’s people here, you’re probably on the wrong network or using a bad server. When connecting to EFnet, try using Choopa, it’s one of the New York ones.

edit: You’re using mIRC right?

edit2: If you really want you can use http://chat.efnet.org/ instead of a real mIRC client, but I wouldn’t recommend it since you’ll miss out on a lot of features and mIRC uses a lot less resources than a web browser.

Sorry I’m a complete noob with IRC. Currently I’ve clicked on the Channel List under tools. Can’t see #blitzkampf.

How do I specifically connect to EFnet?

EDIT: yes I am using mIRC.

File -> options -> connection (it’s at the top of the list)

on IRC network pick EFnet (not FEFnet, be careful of that), then under that choose US, NY (Choopa), then click connect to IRC server.

Then close the channel list if it comes up, and in the window with the chat box at the bottom, type /join #blitzkampf

if you’re still online atb I’ll play you. PM me if you’re interested

Dandy J: Can’t see options when I click on File. Instead theres an option called “Select Server”. I go on that and a new window comes up with “Connect” and a sub tree “Servers”. I scroll down till I see EFNet. Click on it and see a list of Servers. There is currently one US NY server but its not got “(Choopa)” next to it.

Ryo: sure as soon as I can get this mIRC thing going lol.

EDIT: [found EFNet but still can’t see (Choopa)]

Well that’s probably a newer version of mIRC. Just try servers until you get one that works. I usually use that one or the one in AZ.

My precious web environment :frowning:

Ok I tried to play Ryo Yamazaki (with him hosting) and I kept getting Connection Failure errors. Then I tried to host and he said that he got the same thing. I haven’t got another router or a wireless one, but do I still need to port forward? I do have a firewall but I’ve set that to off so that shouldn’t matter.

Just started playing this game. Its hot.

WTF is up with the sudden rising of Doujin Fighters(And fun one’s at that)?

Sudden? EFV and the like have been around since the late 90’s. It’s just getting widespread now because people are searching and passing the word instead of keeping that shit in Japan.

Newly edited akatsuki corner combo of doom

combo into f+c, cr.b xx qcb+a, st.c xx qcb+a, st.c xx d,d+C 2nd hit SC into ABC super…

if you do it from jumping cto standing c that combo does over 9000 it’s really not that hard either… the hardest part is making sure they are high enough after the second standing c that you can cancel the second hit of the d,d+c into abc because if they are not it will miss. If you don’t have super this is also his most damaging corner combo you just let all the hits of the d,d+c hit does around 4300 depending on the starter. Of course you can sub in other supers at the end as well… Anyway thats all for now folks…

And because since more and more decent players play them outside of Japan, haters who didn’t even try them are more likely to try and play them than just randomly hate…

I seriously think this trend (because it is just one atm) is due to games having a lot more people following new games propositions/discoveries or a few others. I don’t think people have just discovered that they could search for those games. Let’s be serious, you could get feven the QOH series by any easy legal or not legal means back in the day. It’s just that no one cared to.
