They work like the old games? As in…they don’t suck.
You get 7 frames to tech out of ground and air throws.
LMAO.
Different characters have different throw ranges, that’s one of the reasons Ammy is so stupid.
When in doubt, mash H, you’ll either get a throw or an attack, and if your character has an abuseable H attack then you’re set.

This is why I converted from J.S to J.H for pretty much all my characters because air throws are so good in this game. Trust me make the switch and you won’t regret it. Unless you use Trish her air throw is still ass
what old games are we talking about? do you know what you are saying? it’s rare to find a game in which air throws are as good as they are in mvc3.

This is pretty much all you need to know.
When you’re close to your opponent either on the ground or in the air, mash on :h:. Worse case scenario you’ll whiff a normal or tech a grab, best case scenario you’ll throw your opponent’s character. It’s a viable way to punish certain things and escape certain situations. With characters like Dr. Doom, Wesker, Dante, etc. you can OTG into a full combo.
I was playing a Dr. Doom yesterday and he got my assist in a footdive and airdashed forward to try to j.M into combo. I jumped forward to air to air him and…got air grabbed. Made me lol after I cried.
