k getting a little better at surviving. i dont always see fuckers on teh radar so i tend to pan my camera around every often when im killin mobs in abyss. today i saw some sorc fucker flyin high above me. i used aether twisting stigma which gives me 2 free resists and lasts 8 seconds. worked like a charm. but that relies on the opponent not knowing what that buff looks like and what it does. if he were smart he could have just waited 8 seconds. and i dont see myself psychically casting it before they cast their spells.

so my priest is lvl 6, i’m strongly thinking about going down the chanter path, i was curious what other people think of it. I played a druid since the start of wow so i’m used to being mediocre at everything(pre-BC) is that what this class is like? If not what function do the provide in a group aside from just the buffs(do they do decent dps or can the be party heals, or do they suck at everything and i should just go cleric for healing?)
Yeah.
Chanter is pretty much the most mediocre class in the game. They do ALRIGHT DPS and can’t heal for shit honestly. Only as spot/off-healing. Buff Bots really.
But you can solo-grind all day with no down-time. D:

random semi useful thoughts since the servers are down for 3 “hours/minutes” (they can’t make up their minds!):
grinding:
im not sure 2/3 manning those 43/44 balaur elites is a good idea. they hit pretty damn hard and at our levels i get a lot of dodges. i’m willing to try it of course, but the grind optimizer says these mobs are good at level 40:
watch ______ (42 elite, located south of hoarfrost fortress): 416kxp, 7.58xp/hp for squishies, 5.47 for the temporarily ironbad ones. 102 kills/level if youre soloing.
bakarma non-elites(42-43): 5.43xp/hp, ~1k kills/level. good for soloing but i think it will go faster if duo because of no downtime + no avoiding 2 pulls.
brutal mist mane ______: i think we’re all very familiar with these guys by now. 305k xp, 5.24xp/hp on average. 138 kills/level solo. i hate hate hate hate hate the mist mane area…but you get hair so youre getting 2 things done at once.
cold storm spirits(44): same as bakarma non-elites
i set the tool to give me mobs up to level 45.
of course, there’s always the morheim + belulsan lepharist areas. there’s quests for those places (you have to go to the belulsan one for a campaign quest anyways), and im sure we all need to get on that oath farming.

lower/upper level is like 45/46+
the new patch deals with gold spammers. you must be level 10 to do anything, pretty much.
Grind optimizer needs to have locations in main lands as well as Reshanta. And these band aids being put in to place do NOT stop the damn spammers. Hell, I see level 10s sitting in multiple areas already. The level 10 cap wont do shit.

Hoping they fix the issues with crashing in crowded areas. Fort sieges and large PvP battles are bullshit at the moment for me…and apparently a lot of other players.

Yes, I turn down my graphics settings when I know I am going in to large battles.
I know your pain. I’ve got the same set up but a 3.0GHz Athlon x2 processor and a Radeon 4850. The game ran fantastically well up until Eltnen. Now whenever I head over there I always make sure to Shift+F12 so that everyones characters arent visible, only there name. It’s good to know i’m not the only one with a problem. That stops the crashing for me but it isnt ideal at all, and I dread to think what it’ll be like when I start joining mass PvP battles.
