Not too sure, but I’ve changed the voices of my Chinese Retail to Japanese. It was just overwriting the files in the voice folder. I don’t see why they wouldn’t let you since only you’d be hearing it.
Actually I think I read that it has sold a ton of copies in Korea is and very popular, 3 million maybe? I dunno I read something briefly about it, could be wrong. It isn’t Angels vs Demons, that just what people assumed from a long time ago. It’s far from lame, imo.
For the voice packs, I’d assume you’ll be able to switch out the voices like you can in K/C-Aion. I doubt they are going to be changing a lot of stuff with the client, unless something changes in version 1.5 that for some reason wouldn’t let you just replace the files.

I’ve been waiting 3 years for this game. It’s only 1 month away and I’m gettin’ blue balls over here. Is SRK going to have a legion? I won’t be able to convince enough of my friends to play this to start our own legion, so I’m gonna have to latch on to some elses’.
Fuggin’ graphics on this game look top of the line. Then again I haven’t seen many MMOs with stunning graphics. Should you know of any on this level, please let me know, especially if it’s F2P.
Seeing as this one is P2P, I hope they will sell game cards at the local stores. I can’t front. This game looks interesting [as well. I also said the same thing about Diablo 3, but this one drops sooner].

Game looks cool, but Asian MMO’s always leave a bad taste in my mouth(grindfests, low population, etc). How would this one be any different.
I cant see anything standing up to WoW. Only game that has come close is LOTRO.

Played chinese OB and goddamn I love this game. Feels different than other MMOs and even shit like PVM is actually… fun? Holy shit. I haven’t been this hyped for a MMO in years. (R.I.P Dransik ISO :sad:)
The game is ‘westernized’ to appeal to an american audience.
50 is the level cap. Pretty fucking low for any Asian MMOs.
It’s obviously the main issue in the game, and people have actually been making “Grind Charts.” Only problem is, like 90% of the charts you see use an outdated KOR Power Book, with old numbers. Also, a lot of variables aren’t factored in. You’ll also see a lot of fake charts from people bashing the game.

Scary at first, but you need to understand a few things. This taken from creator of chart.
As you can see it’s 1-40. 40 was currently the level-cap and thus had a lot of content actually missing from the game. Unfinished maps, NPCs, etc. Very new and under-developed.
General idea, not counting mobs you kill WHILE questing, etc.
This is in version 1.2, which did recieve an XP bonus update, but is also very outdated now as the game Live will push into 1.5 which boasts a variety of more quests, tons of new instances, etc.
Personally, I don’t mind Grinds, but to be honest there isn’t really much here. If you wanna grind, grind. If not, you still have access to end-game content with out "azn grindfest’ shit. If you wanna grind, a Chinese player in KOR beta went 1-30 in 3 days with reasonable rest purely grinding mobs(he couldn’t read korean and was unable to understand quests). Not that I’d advocate it, I need some flavor.
Hopefully that clears up most of the “Grind” confusion.
As your for last comment, eh. WoW is popular, but it’s not good. The game has gotten worse since BC and only continues to get worse/easier/etc. They’re trying anything they can to stay alive.
Although I will say anything coming out this year will definitely not kill WoW as a whole. Dent at most, but as of 2009, no. So everyone who digs “WoW” killer hype games are meh.
I was in CO beta and Aion beta, and tomorrow I won’t be picking up my copy of CO.
It’s a fun game, will it last? I don’t think so. Cryptic seems to be fucking up a lot and hasn’t had a break as well. Due a really bad start, etc. A shame really, but what can you do?
In my opinion, CO seems more like a short-term game. Very Michael Bay(All Style, No Substance). After a while you find yourself just recycling ideas in Character Customization, doing the mindless PvP in that game, etc. It’s a fun game, but nothing I’d seriously sit down and play if I want an MMO.
I could very well be wrong, and it’s only my opinion. So take it for granted.

I got a beta copy of this today… I was gonna pass it on to a friend… but I’m not sure now… might go install and give it a whirl…
I’m sayin i was debating taking my 10 dollars back or transferring it never was i saying i was going to buy the game lol. The fact that they fucked up the performance of the game turns me off. Like you said it’s a novel concept and that’s about it.
getting 10-15 frames on low settings with a 2.13GHz dual core 1gig 9800GT and 4 gigs of ram ftmfl.
speaking of which how is the performance? Does it shit itself over 5 people being next to eachother or is it pretty stable?
I have a feeling Aion will be a short term game too… I dont know, i mean it looks fantastic, and i really enjoy it, but i just have this horrible feeling its going to peak really early
Lets face it, Cataclysm is gonna come out in 2010, and Blizz always drags people back, even if its just for a few months, but its enough to get them away from another game
