dude was doing a “glitchless” Mirror’s Edge run
- runner specified there would be glitches during the run, but none of the major glitches
- announcer on the couch tried to think it out aloud to be funny "i mean, if you have glitches in the run, you can’t really call it a “glitchless…”
- runner kept trying to play it off as banter and kept saying “don’t worry about it.” “it’s ok.” “that’s not a real glitch”
- then you realize the dude on the couch isn’t really joking around, he’s just being really smarmy.
- runner kept trying to explain away the glitches before he did them to stop the guy on the couch from calling him out.
- dude on the couch kept calling attention to the fact that the runner was glitching during a glitchless run- like at least two times every minute
- runner kept dying (i’m sure from getting exposed) so i tapped out.
i actually can’t stand cringe humor, so when it’s happening i can’t stand it for too long.

All in all, it’s cool to see some speedruns, but your donation money could be better spent by helping smaller initiatives that might use that money directly, with less overhead costs and questionable politics and agendas
And it’s not like the real reason to donate (exciting and skillful speed runs of amazing video games) even exists anymore…

Well not everyone run can be Mega Man runs. If we just stuck to the good games, GDQ would’ve been done 3 years ago minimum since they would’ve burned through all the games. Bad game runs have their own charm too, just not when the runner himself spends the entire time shitting on the game since it just makes him look incredibly stupid for ever playing it to begin with.
