So I just watched the Shovel Knight run yesterday. Did anyone else sense some hostility toward the devs by the couch? They seemed to be shitting on the game more than anything else while the devs just kinda took it. I could have misinterpreted it…

One of the design guys has one of my favorite game design related quotes in that run though. He was talking about SK’s little ‘ducking’ animation the one that doesn’t actually have any value in game play terms. He was talking about how that came about, he was in a room with a bunch of NPCs during some long conversation and said, “I want to idle with them!” I thought that was awesome, because thats’s sort of how I used that little animation. Pretty cool.

So how much was actually raised I remember seeing almost 900k but then somehow that went to 1.5 mil.

$900K+ was strictly donations. The rest came from various other sponsorship mediums (ie Humble Bundle) where u buy some product and a percentage goes to the adgq cause
