So here is what I’ve been hearing about our commentary so far:
- People seem OK - we haven’t had complaints about awful commentators lately.
- Player names - we need to refer to people by the name on the screen. I know it is difficult (I certainly do it), but especially when we have mactches like Carlos vs Conner, and we use those names, it’s hard for people that don’t know them to know exactly who we are talking about. Possible solution to this is putting their real name next to it for people like Conner and Carlos that we all kind of know by that name.
- People talking over each other - please be VERY aware that there are usually two people talking. Not only does this mean don’t talk when the other person is talking, but also give them a chance to talk. We have a few people who do great but also don’t give the other person an opportunity to say anything in edgewise.
May need to start getting more strict about who is on the mic and whatnot, but so far it hasn’t been a huge issue. I would appreciate people not coming up and just saying random stuff into the mic that doesn’t make any sense to anyone outside of our scene.
