Well with start times, its kind of hard when one half of the crowd can easily make 7/8 pm and the other half can make 9/10pm.
What I think I can do is split the late and early people like I used to over at Preppys. That seemed to work. Basically the early players would all be on the bottom bracket and then the late players would get the top bracket. By the time the late guys would come, the early bracket would be down to 4 heads, making it easy to finish up the late bracket.
Might sound weird, but ill try it out this thursday!
Adon is in the hyperbolic time chamber right now. He wont be ready for evo so I’m focusing on Bison. Adon does have his moments though. Flashy high damaging super difficult combos for the win. When ever I wanna just style adon comes out but I understand Bison sooooo much better atm. I have a connection with Bison as a character right now where I know his options so well that matches seem to flow seemlesly with my reactions with out me stressing or over thinking. We gotta play soon Jacob, I got alot of cool adon shit to show you. Post evo, Adon is going to see alot more time off the bench.
Tournament this Thursday is SINGLES and 2v2!!! Get your partner together before tourney day. Also school is out for me, so doors open at 3pm this thursday!!
Come early, get some real practice. If people come early enough, im gonna have a pre round robin tourney at 4pm. 2 dollar entree winner take all just for fun.

heya please refrain from announcing things early. I havent seen a physical card yet, so in my mind the cards dont exist yet.
We will need to come up with a process on how we will handle ideas, and how to announce ideas.
we also need to beta test these ideas and processes.
i havent heard anything about. design, material, content of cards, how to distribute, etc, etc, etc,
same with SNK style gaming. there was NO TESTING or PREP done before hand… you guys just came up with a idea (that was NOT thought out well) and ran with it.
again please dont announce things till they are ready… You will create an unnecessary deadline, and mostlikely we will end up with an inferior product.
KKF , I posted what I did for a reason and we are going forward with this. This kind of stuff needs to be talked about off the forums and with myself and the other AfroDojo Organizers. People see contradicting posts between the guardians and it just confuses people.
So things are going forward as is. I am greatly pushing singles, 2v2 will start shortly after and for the people that come early, we will have a private tourney or just casuals till people come.
The player cards ARE ready and will be talked about at the event. The cards have been planed out for awhile now and have been pushed aside for to long. We have got the template down and the process on how people will track their matches. It will all be explained at the event and is not as complex as the CVS2 rules. Have faith in your Community leaders, we are all trying are best here.
Apologies, fellas. I was only making a joke but I realize upon reading the post again it came across as more rude than I meant it to. Dugg had a more constructive way of mentioning it, real start times would be cool. It’s fine if things don’t start at 7pm but the start times should be honest either way. If anything the help pay the bills thing was a compliment to your skills, saying that the dojo roomies are guaranteed to at least win some of the money.

I’m well aware electricity and food aren’t free. I haven’t been making it to events because I’ve been borrowing money and racking up debt to pay my rent for the past 6 months.
