I would do it if I had the technical knowledge on her like say Mossadman, or Vryu. But frankly I play more on feel then my technical understanding of her.
Well all I would need is an outline. if you guys want a tutorial posted, just shoot me a message with an outline and I can execute/record everything. It would need to be detailed, including explanations of what each section of the tutorial is about. I’m ok with adding a few things but i’m bad with the organization. I always end up with writer’s/player’s/recorder’s block (or whatever lol). Let me know…

VRYU I KNOW YOU GOT MY MESSAGE ON XBL GIMME MORE MATCHES lol.
I’m addicted

Lol yeah he never replies , although it’s fine , dealing with the virtual keyboard is a pain especially when it’s not like the PSN one (thats why I have a USB keyboard lmao) And if you get on Yahoo atleast once in the year , we might get a tutorial going lol xD oh yeah and the rendering settings stuff , you still havent talked to me about that
OH i meant to record lol. Although I would like to play again. I’m looking to post more vids of him especially if he’s using the unblockables often.
Yahoo or MSN? I can’t use MSN on my phone… don’t know why. I can use Yahoo easily though.
I would LOVE a tutorial like that to come out, im a fairly noobie mak and I feel like that would REALLLLLY help
My core is technology and execution (although when I play against advanced players I miss combos cause I’m super nervous and just cant relax) Feeling stuff ain’t my style … it’s too risky)
EDIT: @mossad okay I installed yahoo a few days ago, my mail thingy is dimcho92@hotmail.com , we’ll talk more there
Do you guys ever go through a period of bad execution? Ive been there the past couple of days. Can’t perform blockakusa, dropping combos, can’t IA tsurgi. It sucks. How do I recover from this?
I go through periods of this…I can’t really tell you how to recover. I usually stop what I’m doing and go into training and just grind it out.
My IA tsurugi execution has been horrible lately.
My IA tsurugi execution is so bad as well
Decided I haven’t been do any serious reps in training, so like you said i (over the past four days) have been doing five minutes of IA tsurgis per side, five minutes of kara karas, and ten minutes of blockakusa setups ,at least three times per day. Once before playing matches, after taking a break and right before I turn the game off. I think its helping : )
I should hope so… Damn, that’s some time you’re putting in. I just play when I fancy playing personally. I find the less time I tend to play, the better I become. Funny that, eh?
A karakusa set up that I didnt see in the opening pages-
If you mp oroshi on opponent wake up, AND they block, they are pushed back into PERFECT range for kara kara
Second I found that if you do blockakusa or karakusa and plink the HK karakusa with MK it will option select her target combo if your LK either hits counterhits them or is blocked during kara kara which is good so you dont get punished by missed grab. Of course if everything is good it will OS the ex kara which does in fact have the range to grab during kara kara
Third a hit or blocked max distance F+LK can be followed with kara normal throw.
Im sure some of this stuff may already be known but it wasnt on the opening pages so I think it should be added.
p.s. Sorry if you already made mention of this stuff V-Ryu or others, I just found it during my execution training
-
the “problem” with it is that you’re at ±0F after perfect meaty MP oroshi. So, you’re kara-EX karakusa must be perfect after it. (kara normal karakusa wont work. Everybody is hitting after a guarded oroshi xD). That’s what I noticed when i was playing with it
-
Just to be clear:
That means that if you want to do stLK (whiff) -> HK karakusa…and you do stLK -> karakusa+HK~MK.
=> If the Knee hits opponent (block or hit), makoto will do target combo (stLK -> stMK).
=> If the knee whiffs, makoto will do stLK -> HK karakusa.
Is it what you mean? If yes, that’s VERY good. Because sometimes, (especially on wakeup when doing (for example) backthrow -> dash -> f+HK feint -> stLK~HK karakusa)), i’m too close when trying stLK (whiff) -> HK karakusa…and my Knee hits :x
Oh, and if we can find an OS (a bit like seth DP OS FADC) in case of stLK hits or is guarded…to cancel into HK karakusa, OR target combo. That would be marvelous (especially for AE2012 :> )
- ok. But be careful. -4 on guarded f+LK.
edit:
after thinking, I cannot really understand why n°2 could work.
LK -> 63214+HK~MK should always result in LK -> Karakusa. On hit and whiff, since special move > normal move (even target combo) in priority.
need to do some test.
Actually, it does make sense.
s.lk cancelled early enough so that s.mk doesn’t come out, you get karakusa. If the s.lk hits, it immediately chains into s.mk. You’re just going to have to kara the HK in the ex karakusa input and ride off of SF4’s leniency for the extra kick button and the input motion for the ex. Plus, I think s.mk can also be kara’d in its first frame of startup, although I’m not too sure on that. When I get on, I’ll help out. I found some new stuff too, albeit thanks to Naleb for the initial setup that I’m going to try and write up later upon more testing.
Thanks for responding vryu.
First I would like to say I did this with training dummy so i didn’t try to anticipate opponent reaction.
- Even if the opponent does attack, at the distance wouldn’t the knee counter hit or t.
rade? - I got it to work consistently. On block /hit it does target andex kara kara otherwise. Maybe I’m not doing the most perfect plinking
- Yes it is dangerous
EDIT:
I just realized how I can try to test number 2 more accurately. When I get on, I’ll put dummy on random block and see what happens. It seemed to work for me last night but I can understand the need to do some serious testing before it becomes canonized. Wish me (and it) luck : )
um did you guys see the combo desk did?
j.HK, s.MP, c.LP, s.LP, c.MP (!), EX Hayate
Anyone else seen this before?
Nah I haven’t. I don’t understand how it’s possible tbh. I also don’t understand how haitani and vryu are doing jabs into u1 either though. Is this some weird meaty property and if so how can it be meaty when you’re linking jabs??? confused.
meaty stLP allows you to crMP
@OAR:
because you can do target combo when stLK whiffs, that’s what makes feel strange about it :x
wow, new stuff? setup for crossup or totally new things?
Good good!
Hope to see it before my tournament on 22nd oct
so because c.LP is cancellable you make s.LP meaty giving you enough frame advantage to c. MP? is that how the u1 works too?
EDIT: Hrm. I can’t get it to work. I even walked up to the character model instead of dashing to get closer and It still isnt working for me. I’ll keep trying though
