can you explain the the options on crouch after the unblockable? Are you saying that you did Tsurugi and then karakusa/oroshi or were you OSing it? Or was this after he was afraid to move? or does the LK Tsurugi whiff on crouchers? Just curious. And confused…
Im sure you posted that first but I can understand his position if he independently found it. Because I independently found it too, didnt know it was a frame trap though, I just knew it worked against the cpu. never tried it in a match
shiro plays so weird. at evo i was watching him at the MM room afterwards and he never really did any tricky setups or safe jumps, or any of the things the majority of players on this forum have learned to do. he always seems to go for the intuitive guess, or tries to react to everything.

I can’t seem to pull this off.
I hit the training yesterday and tryed like this:
Karakusa, and during the karakusa animation, I press and hold medium kick.-> then proceded with the normal s.HP->HP Hayate and the hayate always cames out. (Yes I was still holding medium kick).
Thanks. I used to do it like that, (pressing Light punch and light kick for some frames) to cancel the hayate.
I didn’t even remeberd to keep holding punch
Ha double perfected an 8000 bp cody using Tsurugi crossups yesterday (broken mic. maybe broken stick :D)
Also destroyed a B+ BP Bison with HK Tsurugi unblockable. This shit isn’t fair.
HOWEVER, i got my ass handed to me by GeoM DC HUSTLE. Dude is great IMO LOL. Either that or i was just playing really badly. I hardly ever lose like like that. dude beat me something like 20-5. It was even worse the day before yesterday… getting better everyday though

No section on resets or am I overlooking it in the OP? I rarely go for resets, mainly if U2 doesn’t connect with full animation. However, I had something strange happen to me in ranked the other night with U2, that is probably known, so I was trying to find any info on it.
Anyways, I went for U2 and didn’t get the full animation, so I JC’d to follow up with the j.hp reset and some how I hit j.mk. The j.mk whiffed and as we landed in the corner I hit s.hk and it did reset. I watched the replay a couple of time and tried to reproduce it in training mode but couldn’t pull it off the few times I tried. I’m sure it’s old new but was just curious about it, wondering if there was a better way to pull this off.
I didn’t do a reset section because I don’t really use them, and haven’t delved into them/researched them. We could get a list going, but I’m not really the one to flesh it out. I could try, though.

If you can attack and stay in range to throw, you can reset into Karakusa

Fukiage, jump cancel empty jump, forward jump HP or MK to cross-up or not on quick rise. If j.HP is used, the second jump will land in front and you won’t be cornered if they don’t quick rise.
Lately I feel like I need to improve my karakusa game … I keep using the same setups all the time and I rely on tsurugi and ex oroshi too much … I need some new setups … btw I’ve been thinking , does anyone want to make a super long makoto tutorial ? Like 25-30 minutes tutorial which will include matchups setups mixups and everything … it might get good feedback since not a lot of people use her and we might also get it on Machinima too… but that’s just some thoughts , I mean we’ll have to be about 5 people who completely understand her (not that I understand her completely like vryu or shiro , haitani etc.). My problem with this is editing , otherwise I can make it in HD … dont you guys think it would be very cool ? I’m actually obsessed with the idea , i just need to learn editing
You know, I was working on this for a long time, and it is so difficult to organize. I started on defense stuff, and the video was 10 minutes long and i had just barely broken the surface!
Now, a series of videos would be nice but… we have someone sort of doing that already, especially when new stuff comes out (i’m looking at you vryu lol). But yeah I gave up.
The most dificult thing is organizing everything. Getting it onto video is easy but actually knowing what to say is much, much more dificult…
