ok so, if the cr.LK hits it gets canceled into lp hayate, and if it whiffs Ex hayate comes out…is that correct?
So I was trying one of the Honda unblockable setups and if he tries to ex headbutt out, you can tsuguri > lp fukiage > ex tsuguri midscreen, lol
that’s super useful stuff, thanks guys.
I can’t pull these in a match … I have to practice more I guess, they seem easy ,but when I tried doing them my opponent blocked them or they whiffed going behind him … -.-

Amazing video. Time for more memorization!
Every single time ;_;
great…more stuff for me to study! lol im not gonna remember all that it gonna take a while
Wow, just came on to read all these setups. Fantastic! Thank you sir for your hard work, OnlyAsh, and Vryu for putting them into video form for us.
Training mode warrior this week!
EDIT: I know these were made mainly back in super, do most of the setups still work now? Aside from the Adon one’s, of course. I would assume so, if wakeup times weren’t changed. I’m primarily talking about the ones not posted in the vid.
I just start with the characters I play against the most and work from there.
yeah thats a good idea ima play the most common characthers first and work my way down.
props to v-ryu and ash putting in work
Yo there’s some french online tournament going on ? Anyone gonna check it out ? I just registered but when i click sign in it still says “Pending” Anyone know about this ? I’d be glad to kick some ars on there lol , win me some stuff or what not xD
This crossup stuff is like having Viper’s burning kick, only it leads into a full combo. Would be the most broken shit in the game if the timing wasn’t so precise.
hey guys, still no specific tutorial on dealing with cody? I know that you can apply pressure after you knock him down but what specific moves of his can I punish other then a blocked hurricane (criminal upper?) I get upset with the fact that he can just start going crazy throwing out all sorts of moves throughout the round with no fear. Cody needs to be taught respect
the first advice I can tell you is to change your arcade stick.
LOL
You can punish everything.
Ok so…
Read all of OARs info and practiced it.
Watched vryus video and practiced everything (landed the Dudley combo offline yesterday LMAO imagine the salt)
I could’ve sworn I saw Lost Fragment say that these were “brutal” somewhere but I can’t find that post lol. But yeah i have to concur with that. I practiced them for a few hours then took them online and… disgusting. This shit is horrible for them. I fought a Guy that was afraid to move after a few matches. He literally just sat on the other side of the screen, confused, mashing jab. I was nowhere near him. He had completely given up. Fought a ryu and kept doing the unblockable over and over. Tried to SRK and ate Yamase. Tried to back dash and ate it. Tried to block. Tried to super/ultra. Nothing. This shit is brutal indeed. Every single time I landed one (i’m around 80% for landing them, except the one for Gief… That ones tough for some reason), all I can can see in my mind is his post “that shit is brutal” or something like that lmao I copied the whole list on my iphone and look at it right before a match. as soon as I see who they pick i look at which setup is which and then it migh as well be MvC3 “ITS CUTTING TIME!. La la lala la lal alalala lala” Real talk lol.
Any chance you can send us that list? Or are you expecting me to gather all the info from the video myself? xD
You mean the list in this post?
EDIT - ah in my previous post… Lost fragment said “ruthless.” Not brutal. Found the post. Either way he was right lol.
the only real problem I see is that tsurugi comes out very fast.
Opponent doesnt really have time to think “oh, he’s jumping, let’s guard standing”, except for the common dash LK -> HK tsurugi.
So, at least for tsurugi that doesnt hit crouch (everything, except setup after EX oroshi), I think we should force opponent to stand guard (oroshi*n, then going with crossup/unblockable).
We should find some setup in which makoto is really high in the air before doing tsurugi, so, opponent wont be crouching.
