Her super’s always been kind of situational for me. Even in console, when it seemed like the only reason she was so weak was because of the silly damage you got off of super cancel -> U1, it wasn’t that hot. I like it vs. Viper if the match has hit a tempo where I can’t reasonably react to what she’s going to do next. If she knocks me down, I’ll sometimes just wake up with it to take the invincibility and punish whatever she tries to do.
i once had super and almost full u1, some ken whiffed a DP and i did cr.mp xx mp hayate xx super> U1…next thing I see is the words “Makoto wins” on the screen. good shit
I did jump HP -> HP -> HP hayate xx super -> kara Karakusa -> full ultra1 against a yun the other day. I was laughing alone at home when i saw the damage xD
yesterday, in training mode, I’ve put “random counter hit” and was playing with f+LP -> crLK -> LP/EX hayate.
it was easy not that difficult (especially cause you can p-link crLK). You have time to see “counter” on the screen and confirm your crLK which will be combo after f+LP if it’s counter hit.
It works very well after HP hayate against mashers (i cant count how many counter hit f+LP we do after HP-hayate…)
Is Makoto’s st.mp > st.mp a 1f link?
And what is st.lp > st.mp, 2f?
They are both 1f links.
s.lp and s.mp are both +5 on hit, and s.mp has a 5frame startup.
You can check the framedata here.
lmao. That is so fucking evil.
So I have 4500 bp in three days i feel im only average. I feel like people lose cause they don’t know what to do and don’t know the match. What do you guys think makes a player above average.

Damn, I’m only a little above 2K, but I don’t play as much as I’d like to. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of practice=shitty skills.
Fuerte’s Overhead isn’t off the ground. It looks like it, but it’s not. The only real thing it has going for it is it can go into alot of things.
Can someone explain what is going on with the motion in BIGDANMUL’s 2nd round (57 seconds left). I know the EX Karakusa is being canceled into an Ultra, but I’m not quite understanding the inputs and how they worked itself out, especially how it came out so quickly. This is the video vs Abel(around 1:50 marker):

236 236 KK~PPP
personnally, I prefer use negative edge on KK to do it. I find it easier (236 236 release KK -> PPP)
2362364+KK~PPP. It works this way because you can naturally shortcut into 63214 with 62364, and it just so happens you can put the U1’s 236236 into this. So, at the time of the final input, you have both Karakusa and U1 at the ready. Knowing that:

Obvious question, but is the juggle from jab fukiage AA very dependent on spacing? I assume they have to be quite close to get hit with followup fierce fukiage, right? Right now I’m mostly doing jump cancel axe kicks or raw hayate as a juggle due to being unsure about the spacing on this juggle. Any insight would be appreciated.
Yep, it’s spacing, height, timing, AND character specific Generally if you land the Fukiage as an AA and the opponent is near the last 1/3 of Makoto’s body, you need a kara-HP Fukiage.
I actually think Fukiage, MK Tsurugi, EX Hayate is the best follow-up anywhere outside of the opponent’s corner (and of course other factors like killing an opponent or how much meter you have, etc). The amount it corners an opponent is worth way more than the extra 32 damage from EX Tsurugi.
I found out that if you build a meter vs yun. Then he best not to do EX lunge punch other wise he would eat a EX chop. you guys know that?
Ex oroshi invul startup sometimes come in handy.
And since it’s airborn you can also fukiage his lunge punch if you have good reaction.
Ex Oroshi is also a good reversal when you meet a meaty-palm happy Yun.
I finally started to get the hang of Kara-Karakusa with 6236 + LK, 4 + K. Is the motion for a Kara Fukiage (and Throw) the same as for the Kara-Karakusa ?
Kara fukiage is 6236+LK~P.
Kara throw is 6+LK~LP.
Thank you
Hmm, I don’t know exactly how much has been updated to the OP since I last saw it, but wow. This thread in general is one of the best things on the internet I think. Mad props to all of you guys.
