can someone update the Divekick framedata.i feel that even when i crossup or hit an opponent with the divekick they can still punish me

only appears to work on Sagat.

use reversal timing. Some recover faster than the plm will come out.

here’s a cool punish you guys can practice on T hawks/Guiles.<br>try practicing reaction ex palm on T.hawks blocked 2 hit sweep, hits everytime. <br>( Block the first hit of his sweep, then do an EX palm, the lower body invincibility from the ex palm will knock that fucker cold, should work on guile as well.) <br>

Anyone have any tips for playing against adon? I have no idea what to do against jaguar kicks

Far standing strong, and cl.st strong will usually beat it out at close range. I’ve had mild success with cr.strong when done late. The start up on jaguar kick is pretty terrible. Unless they space out at maximum range or use instant air JK’s jab the crap out of them. At further ranges, late input lk upkicks. If you can gauge the distance dashing under it is viable, so is going for mp shoulder to go under (risky though). Jaguar kick pressure in general is lame, but is really punishable if done incorrectly. now on block…just guess, unless the foot is inside you. Then that’s free jab into combo punish time.

I’ve been maining Yun since December, and I’ve spend a lot of time in the lab trynig to find a lot of stuff for him.

I wanna see if anyone is interested in some of this stuff to up their Yun game. I can post it here and hopefully it can get added to the first few posts or the matchup thread.

Just throwing this out there. I’ve started to use st.mk to aa close jumps now. It’s risky sometimes because you can get completely stuffed if you screw up and do it too late, but it nets you solid damage if you hit because you can combo off it afterward, for example, after aa st.mk:

Light shoulder > heavy lunge.
Light shoulder > u1
lunge punch
straight up u1
upkicks.

What’s some good moves to use after a blocked TC5 into lp shoulder string? I like using either far st fierce or f+fierce. It catches a lot of people counter poking. Especially after a slight delay. Should I be using more neutral jump dk after?

You dont always want to end your blockstrings with a lp shoulder since it leaves you at a distance and yun is at his best while upclose. If you do end with a shoulder your left at a range where medium kick is effective since its fast and will hit them if they try to jump the only problem is it doenst do much damage and it doesnt leave you with many options afterward. Youre also at a range were shotos will want to sweep so you can use st.hk to go over the low and get a knockdaown or you could also dive kick since your at the perfect range to heavy dk at the lowest height. You dont wanna divekick to much in this situation or your opponent will know to dp after a blocked shoulder the key is to mix it up and leave them guessing.

Please do. I am about a month in so I have a lot to learn.

Finally updated the guide with Genei-jin stuff x_x. Let me know if I’m missing anything. That character specific stuff after forward throw, neutral jump, forward jump divekick is going to take forever to do…

Neutral throw, cr. mp x 2(whiff), walk forward a pixel, jump foward mk.

This is a safe jump vs 3 frame reversals. Tested it out this morning and it works on all Shotos’ dps. Make sure that the j. mk is hitting them around the knee/shin area when you test this. Check around the 4:29 mark of this video.

I stole the GJ setup from Taiga. Same thing as the unblockable j.mk after f.throw. If you OS LP Lunge, Guile’s only escape option is neutral jump.

Updated the Guide with Cammy and Guile unblockables. I still can’t get the Vega/Fei unblockable to work correctly (I think I’m just messing up the timing x_x).

Nice guides, any new unblockable setups for yun? I have gotten unblockable for 7 chars at the moment, ibuki/makoto/gen/guile/fei/vega/cammy. WIll try to upload vids, please share if you have other chars unblockable. Thanks!

Hopefully you’ll get some vids up soon. I only know unblockables for ibuki, makoto, guile, fei, vega, and cammy. I didn’t know there was one for gen also.

Hi, sorry but I will only be posting the vids after SEA major 2013 which is 22-23 June 13.
Reason is, I did the fei’s setup in CC2k12 against fuudo and next minute it got posted in youtube and everyone knows its an unblockable and I’m saving this against Xian so I cant let him see this before I face him.

And well done for finding the rest as I believes youtube or anywhere also cant be found other than self explores. ^^

Is that first mix up even possible? or is it character specific? Im trying it in practice vs ryu and theres no way Yun hits the ground before ryu does.
