AE v.2013 E. Honda requests

If they’re serious about receiving additional feedback, then they could’ve at least posted a change log so we can be sure what got removed and/or added.

It’s very frustrating going to a location test not even knowing what you’re testing because there isn’t a change log available. I could have been much more helpful with more information from Capcom.

He said they want to promote more intelligent play, that’s why they nerfed it. Dagw also said he spoke to LorDvd and Honda players shouldn’t be concerned, they heard our feedback.

Man, watching Slick rick’s video - Ex Hb is no longer nerfed. The pushback is almost like in v.2012. I don’t know what to think…Also, in the same video Ex Hands in action - nice to see that buff is working.

Anyway, they said every character might receive 1 more change, so let’s hope for the best.

ehmmm… Pahn (the italian player that plays in that video) used the Super version of Honda! (it was a team match with “edition select” of USF4!)… so the ex-HB is obviously NOT nerfed! :smiley:

Just curious what you guys think about this, because I’m pretty bored while waiting for more capcom news.
What if they gave the 2nd hit of Honda’s close Roundhouse a juggle point. Would that be too strong?

With this we could get a hit in the corner after an air to air MK Buttslam and even headbutt fadc (but not ex headbutt).

I think it would be nice, but I’m not sure how useful would be. While cl Hk is a good normal, is not used too often.

Regading cl Hk, another idea was to decrease the pushback on hit, so we can take advantage of it being +6 on hit. We could link cl hk - cr jab xx hands. Now you can do that only on a couple of characters.

Well… I’ve some bad news for you guys… I’ve spoken with Pahn (one of, if not THE best italian Honda) about USF4 he tested in Rome… He says that the PG is noticeably different (worse)… here are some highlights (he noted especially more nerfs than buffs):

  • U2 is confirmed 0+1 for now, but Dawgtanian says that they could remove it
  • pushback nerf on EX HB is present, but during the test it was not so punished (it requires a good reaction)
  • hitbox nerf on j.hk and j.mp. Pahn says that this two moves are now completely useless (I’ve asked him if he intended neutral jump or whatever). j.HK hitbox moved up (before it was more low) and j.MP hitbox shortened (before it was longer)
  • nerf on sf.mp (shorter hitbox) and j.Lp too
  • nerf on cr.mp (slower)

More details if he answer to me…

Just spoken again with Pahn… with j.HK and j.MP he meant Jump forward/backward. The first (j.HK) hit no more as distance as before, “from the tip” (hitbox is shortened), the second (j.MP) hit no more as before because capcom upped the hitbox…

Now I asked more details about j.LP

edit: answered! j.LP nerfed because capcom moved the hitbox more “internal” (before, the hitbox was slightly ahead the PG, now not) Totaly useless now, he says…

I hope this is a misunderstanding, otherwise is a really bad joke. Nerf on cr mp ? what the crap, man, it is already a mediocre normal, and is already slow.

If these changes become true, I’m not touching Ultra.

To think, back at EVO Combofiend said they would in fact buff jumping medium punch. I wonder how many people complained about Honda jumping in on them.

All this nerf talk is making me angry. If this is what really happens to Honda, I wont be buying this version.

How can this build be so different than the Final Round build? This contradicts everything I tested at FR, including U2 frame data. At FR I landed U2 over a dozen times on idle opponents.

I told to Pahn that the data he collected do not match those found by others… and Pahn told me he was expecting different “feedbacks” too, so he asked about this directly to Dawgtanian after some matches… Dawgtanian said that every build is different: many of the things that are in “Rome” version today, could not be in “Scotland” version tomorrow! So it is premature to do these speeches.
However, Pahn confirm that the italian loc.test had all those nerf just descripted above… :frowning:

Oh I see. I guess I’m done checking SRK until final change log comes out. This is stressful.
