Ultra Combo 1 needs a buff.

12 frame startup is painfully slow. Its only usable in the corner unless your punishing very stupid whiffs. Landing it from combos result in huge scaling and you cant land it midscreen or on an airbourne opponent.

I say Give us 9 frame startup, and let it have full animation after the second hit lands. Or at least one or the other.

Dudley is getting his Ultra 1 changed to get full animation from an anti air, Ryu can now land full ultra 2 as an anti air or off an ex fireball, and **Viper **gets a hitbox buff to her Ultra 1 to make sure she lands all hits.

To be honest I would love to see it knocked down to 9 frame start up, feck the full animation, I just want to punish more silly mistakes, and to make the FADC from hozantos not feel so stupidly tight.

Guy U1 is 29 startup frames. I agree with Hozanto FADC U1 tightness, but at least is possible to do.

There is by no way Guy U1 is 29 frames lol, if that were the case then Counter hit Cr. HP, St Hk would never link into it, It’s a 11 frame star t up, not 12. either of those 2 moves on CH leave guy at +11

I think the throw fix/buff was for the bushin chain to throw combo whiffing on some characters after hit confirms! So Im happy with it!

If you know what you’re doing, Guy is pretty quick on the ground has a few things to overwhelm the character I agree with you that I would love to have a walkspeed increase especially if Cody ends up walking faster than Guy, but the backwalk will do, That makes it easier to walk and in out of attack range for footsies and look for a way in.

You do realize that Guy’s regular forward / neutral throw and the “throw” ender in Bushin Chain have different ranges, right? In other words, those two things are not related at all. One is a grab (blue grab hit box), and the other is a hit (red strike hit box).

Faster? l’d say no way, probably same as Abel. I really think they improved is backwalk much more than his regular walk.

My Girlfriend helped me translate this more clearly is case anyone wanted to read it.

i’m thinking the distance covered buff on u1 will make it easier to punish the better backdashes in the game and also put you right on top the character after a fadc’d hozonto that isn’t in the corner yet , but about to be. Probably gonna make bushin chain fadc > U1’s that aren’t in the corner yet less needed as well… guess we’ll see.

any distance buff on u2 is great. i’ll take it.

More range on U1? That MAY make OS U1 off of a crouching MP more interesting.

Actually they said the range on his Shoulder Throw may be increased… who knows I’m hoping that judging from teh Capcom Unity post

Normal throws [Grab Throw] and [Shoulder Throw]: Throw range has been increased to be about the same as Ryu. So it will be easier to throw using Guy now.

Even if you could option select U1 against backdash, the first hit will just cause your opponent to fly across the screen since they are considered airborne
