Ultra freeze gives you enough time to charge. Unless you’re almost out of range anyway, he can tag back dash on reaction by just letting go.
vs Blanka only combo:
j.HK, close.st.MP, cr.MK, st.HK -> for 316 dmg…pretty good, but only works in the mirror and there is a (plinkable) one-framer
…why is blanka the only one I found that FA2, dash, ULTRA 2 AA doesnt work on??? is there anyone else??

do not let him bully you with jaguar kicks. Practice hitting them out of the air, and practice whiff punishing them.
st.hk is my prefered AA for Adon. If he jumps in normally it will tag him and if he air jag kicks it will generally double whiff. air to air is also good vs. him.
DON’T BALL unless you’ve mastered safeballs for lk jaguar kicks.

The best and most effective way to punish random hop from normals like cr.mk xx hop online ? And also, i have troubles with his jumps, hp & mp are really weird to AA… and with the new exupball, how you see changes ? Thanks.
cr.jab is the best way to punish hops. If you don’t have the reactions to do it, do it rhythmically. Training against the dummy helps.
AAing in the mirror can be tricky. I like nj.hp, jf.hp, and st.hk. J.mp is pretty much going to beat most normal AA’s(and some special ones) in the game if spaced correctly but nj.hp will swat it down.
I try to punish random hops with sweep but it doesn’t works… or rarely, strange.
Cr.lp is good, throw too, hori & upball too.
Played a lot of matchs vs Balrog, i feel like this match-up is not so bad.
The goal in this match-up is a knockdown, Boxer is very easy to safe jump, meaties too so kill his charge with hop/ball and doing okizeme, after that, the match-up is a footsies war, Blanka has good pokes (stand HP, cr.HP etc…) and Balrog too (stand HK, HP etc…) i think it’s even about normals. Elec is good against his dashs (overhead, straight, armor break etc…) but don’t become predictable with elec or you will eat an ultra on whiff punish.
I really feel this match-up is much better than Cammy and Fei Long, but too bad elec on combos don’t works greatly on him, and i have troubles to do the unblockable HK on him.
I try to dash slightly late for unblockable j.hk and that timing works better for me.

I do think that fei is harder then balrog in this matchup. But balrog is way ahead in the ground normals department. Balrog beats fei long purely because of his normals and fei is even with blanka imo.
He is weak on wakeup and that’s your only card. I have beaten really solid blankas with my weak ass balrog, I sometimes think it’s harder then cammy.
No way it’s harder then Cammy, Cammy is so awful…
Cammy can be hard when you have to deal with her mixups on wakeup. But your normals beat hers and she can’t just jumpin on you for free like she can with some of the cast. She doesn’t have a normal anywhere near the level of fei’s or rogs.
Blanka’s normals don’t beat cammy’s at ranges where you want to hit buttons IMO. What she can do if she lands a crumple or a focus dash through is so big. Plus she can always just guess and try to ex strike a poke and then you get counterhit and are in hell. If you can tell the ranges where hitting buttons favors Blanka vs. Cammy I’d very thankful. I training moded this like 6 months ago and it felt like at every range cammy was at advantage.
Rog has shittier wakeup and if you get one knockdown in footsies you can ride offensive momentum till the round is over. Thats basically impossible vs. Cammy.
I think her standing HK is godlike and beat pretty all Blanka’s pokes, but is even with Blanka’s standing HP, her crouching MK too is really good. Also, she can jump on Blanka Imho, her strike, especially the EX version is very hard to AA, you need to react quick, and all ground normal AAs will trade at best, neutral jump HP is the best to counter her dive but you have to deal with her normal jump, her air throw and it’s really really more hard than deal with Rog’s normals.
Also, the fact that Cammy wake up with one more frame, so meaties and safe jump are not easy to setup on her.
? balrog’s s.HK is pretty godlike as well. Ves regarding the button pushing ranges i like c.MP here is an excellent normal because of it’s recover and s.HK for cammy does recover a lot and can be whiff punished. She has safer normals like her fs.MK and c.MK. c.MK can be buffered but on block it’s an unsafe situation if she cancels it. The normal i’m most scared about vs cammy is that fs.MK. Really fast pokes well safe on block and recovers quickly. But that’s it. While balrog using c.MP buffered is safe for the most part on block. Balrog’s c.MK has like no recovery and it’s a bajillion on frames. Just the range of his c.HK is enough that normal is dumb and leading to knockdown.
I mean you guys are really taking my post wrong here. I said sometimes i feel like it’s worse. I didn’t say it was. I agree cammy is harder because if you do get knocked down you’re done. But in a nuetral position you aren’t getting crushed like you are vs balrog. I almost get the impression that some people here are falling too often and it’s making the cammy matchup seem more impossible then it really is.
I’m terrified to hit a poke with as much recovery as cr.mp if cammy has a bar.
