Off ex palm in the corner > hp hado > lp.palm > back jump hk will hit with no FADC. The character needs to land on the lp. palm. Not sure if it will work off cr.lk xx lp.palm because your hitting the character in the center, not from the bottom.
Yes, i know the non FADC option from this punish combo. But the CR.LK x LP PALM is more poking, mix up and meaty wake up games, so a different, much more frequent situation than raw punish… It’s also working from U2 punishment near corner - MP SENKU into corner - FADC BJ.HK to add up a bit dmg and stun…
There are some situtation in which I just “mash” or “double tap” Gouken’s crouch tech (downback+LP+LK+MK). But for some obvious throw attempts where just one press is required, I start to add an immedaite qcf which leads to an LP HADO without additional button press (negative edge and higher priority of specials?).
So downback+LP+LK+MK following a immediate qcf. Either I tech or maybe I hit the opp with CR.MK x LP HADO (which does not combo). But if the CR.MK hits as counter hit (happens more often than expected), the LP HADO is a combo and in addition I can 1fr link the sweep for 223DMG and 255STUN in total. The sweep does not connect on max range, though. Another situation would be sweep untech KD, safe jump dive kick on wake up, OS crouch tech CR.MK in LP HADO…
Just a small tidbit, but I think it is quite useful in several situations… Anyone elese experimenting with that???
I’ve always wanted to try this with qcb but haven’t given it a shot yet. When I’m in that crouch tech mode, I get robotic and things I want to try just don’t happen. A cr.mk >mk tatsu would be good damage, but huge risk I guess if the mk is blocked.
I main Akuma and I Kara the super the most with St.hk. What I do is tap lp and hk together twice really quickly and then forward, lk, and hp (you can also use the shorcut and just press the last 3 altogether). The same with ovehead…f-mp and lp together twice as fast as you can and the rest. Im on PS3 and my lp is R1 and my mp and hk are square and O respectively so its relatively easy for me. Hope that helps bro.
I’m not sure what Gouken canceling a fireball has to do with SFxT as he is neither in there nor does anyone that I have seen have the ability to dash cancel a fireball, but I love the idea of adding mindgames to Gouken’s repertoire. I suggested allowing him to normal cancel his kongo a while back when we were all thinking of changes, but you went all 1st-grade teacher on me telling me how stupid that was. ;p
In SFxT everyone has a special that also has the ability to charge if you hold down the button. after about a second or 2 the move is upgraded to it’s ex version without meter cost and another 2 seconds and it will perform the super. At any point during the charge the move can be dash cancelled like a focus attack in sf4(there are no focus attacks in sfxt, however some characters have a charge move with armour properties(hugo, I think Gief and maybe others) allowing their charge to act like a focus.
For Ryu his charge move is his hadouken. Any time he does hadou he can choose to charge and let it power up to its 2 hit ex version without meter cost(sound familiar?)but he can dash cancel if he doesn’t want to keep charging or toss it.

Just seeing it made me wish Gouken could do that, would be fun.
Is it still possible to tatsu FADC into U1 or U2? I’ve been trying it and it’s god damned hard! Doesn’t seem like there’s enough height/time after doing the FADC.
Very short amount of time to pull it off and it must be done at the proper distance. I use the ultra motions to perform the dash cancel. If done fast enough, you dash and ultra in one swift motion. That might help. BTW, I never do this in a real match because there are too many variables working against Gouken landing it and I am not the greatest at execution. Maybe you can.
Appreciate the feedback guys. I went back and have since managed to get it a couple of times. That ‘shortcut’ you suggest is an interesting one climaxter, I will have a go at that.
Specifically: after landing the tatsu and hitting focus, I trained myself to press forward once and then do the ultra motions in one fluid motion. At first, it was more like I was waggling the stick which will net you the combo maybe 40% of the time. Practice it slow and then speed it up once it becomes natural. You will be able to hit it 90% in training. Outside of training, you just need to have legendary reactions and superb execution. No biggie. ;p
