for sent… no, rp is already a special move, he can only cancel normals into flight i believe…
about strider i meant, delay the combo so they hit the ground and you otg them with rh

the times are funky, but i think snake posted the timings allready, futher up, but knowing my lame butt, i probly mis inter pret ed you again, cause im just that lame… but any ways, how do you guys handle sprial? i finally started to get down the arcade controlls, and theres a guy at the arcade, but people use scrub charaters at my arcade, and this guy uses actually a really good spiral, and i watched him play other people, he plays simular, also same team, as duc vader. how do i handle this…?
To beat Spiral/Cable/Sentinel, you have to put enough pressure on Spiral that the other player is forced to call out Cable AA; usually it’s Cable that holds this team together, so once Cable comes out, punish him as hard as possible. In doing so, you don’t have to worry so much about Spiral since she has a hard time protecting her assists.
Strider v Spiral specifically is in Strider’s favor I think. She’s not mobile enough to dodge Strider, and you can counter her teleports during Ouro by just superjumping and mashing rings - something will hit her. The only way she can win is if she gets control of the match and never gives it back, which is really hard for her if Strider is using Doom/Sentine/Commando assists.
I think the best advice v Spiral is to not get frustrated. Once you get frustrated by blocking her swords, you end up eating a bunch of swords/drones just trying to get out, which takes way more damaging than just blocking them. Pay attention to exactly what’s she’s doing, then time whatever you’re planning to do accordingly so you can put her back on the defensive.
As for Crow asking for tips on timing the corner combos, I answered that same exact question from you (I think) in the Strider Infinite thread, so check it out. Also, SNAKESHOT’s post is pretty accurate.
Hope that helps!

edit: takes way more damaging? :wtf:
yeah, sorry… I should’ve deleted the post because i got it eventually… sorry for the bother
awsome, thanks clock. it will aid me in my upcoming battle at the arcade.

i was just wondering, what are the best ways to start the match with strider? like when it says: ready… FIGHT!!!11 latley all i have been doing is riping off a clock video, where i do a jumping lk+call doom=a nice start for strider.

CRoW - Nah I wasn’t bothered or anything, I just wanna make sure your question gets answered.
Anyway, the title of this thread is Vol. 1 of course, so I guess I should get a volume 2 out already eh? hmmmmmm
Clockw***0***rk
thanks man, and yeah you should, you barely post, but everytime you do its always to help a fellow strider
Clockw0rk, you truly are the biggest help to all Strider enthusiasts. Thanks to you, I can now be considered as a threat in my arcdade. I go to a college campus. I started my Street Fighting career (lack for a better word ) in the arcade, dishing out more quarters than I can count, slowly making my way to the top. I know I’m off topic…but just wanted to give props to all those who have lost countless rounds and got back up and put in another quarter. :]
YES PLEASE!!!
And a question Clock~I have a little worry about Cable. (I’ve checked this out in theory though) Now Cable can use Sentinel to block the bomb off to AHVB you right? But doesn’t always work because the Cable might Vipe too high or Sentinel’s postioning. My theory is that Cable with a Sentinel-A can get the bomb blocked off EVERY time to give him a clean vipe because unlike Sentinel ground his comes out right on top of Cable and the vipe can be controled to be done low. If my theory is correct then I guess it’s something to worry about.
I hope this is stupid on my part instead of something to worry about.
that actually makes Sentinel-A even less effective for it. If Cable is several steps away from the edge of the screen and calls sentinel ground, Sentinel can eat it without cable taking the blast. However, if cable uses Sent projectile in the same situation, the bomb gets to fall lower, increasing the chances of him getting hit.
I see, thanks for clearing that up, but the other day I was losing to some kids Row because he doing that any adivce on avoiding it? Personally I stoped depending on the bomb while fighting him, thats how I managed to destry him. If I call out Sentinel’s drones while throwing the bomb, will it knock away Sentinel A?
Thanks again:) .
yo clock,i have a qusetion for you. How do you beat this team-strider/cable/capcom? I’m usin strider/cable/doom.
i know its a mis match but this guy is really a good strider player. what he does is throw panthers all day then when he gets to biuld a meter,he supers and trraps me and goes back to square one. When i’m using mags,i chase him. but when i finally get to corner him,he teleports to the other side. so annoying. I beat him most of the time though but he gives me a really hard time chasing him. So in general question, how do you win against a mirror match?
strider vs. strider:
be the first one to get the other strider blocking. This means calling your assists to outzone and outprioritize his and throwing panthers before he does. that’s the best advice i can give.
what if he does the trap first? what can i do to counter it?
nice shit clock workd when i saw ur match against justin i was like holy f…k go. go . go … go . go go. go go.
i woke up like everyone in my house.
nice shit in evo
wait your turn. until then, keep him from utilizing orbs to their fullest potential. Super Jump when you can or keep your feet off the ground without push blocking. This will prevent him from landing clean hits. When you see openings, start your orbs.
As far as what assists Strider can trap with, Doom is defintely the best, but Spiral-A is surprisingly good. Tron-G should be good, but is dissapointing. Those are really the only 3 that come to mind…Sent-G is good for space control, but not really for trapping, and Sabertooth-B(?) does no block damage.
Other assists can work, but the lockdown with Doom + the block damage is extreme unlike anyother assist or not near as anyother assist would help Strider as much. I’ve won people with my old team (Strider,Sent,Cammy), but like I said, the lack of that extreme lockdown was the reason I switched to team clock.
How do you get the strider infinite on Sentiniel? I’d like to learn it please.
