is there a tekken 5 advanced guide out there i dont know if thats the name but i remember seein virtua fighter FT having an advanced book more like bible from japan wit frame data and all that shit advanced combos and stuff tiers and so forth, is there anything out there like that for T5, and how is the american guide for tekken cuz im really to lazy to bounce from forum to forum lookin for strats and shit any help would be good
the brady games t5 guide came out…Mr. Wizard and Kamui made it!
but they don’t have frame data…boo.
No wonder its so good. I own that shit! The guide is worth the buy if you like tekken and want to take it competitively.
i was skeptical since its brady games so is it really advandced shit or just simple combos
Brady made the SF:AC guide too and that one turned out pretty well.
Wasn’t that one done by some of the guys here also?
Anyone if there is someone crazy enough to translate the books from Japan(like the VF one mentioned or the SF3 one) and be up for download, or are those pretty much stuck in Japan?
Shame we don’t get those since(imo) they would be a good read, but considering the market here, I can’t blame them.
If the SFAC guide was made by some of the guys here, I would like to know who because they did one hell of a job. I just picked it up last week mainly because I wanted the 3S soundtrack, but I was really impressed with it. The frame data alone made it worth the purchase, but a lot of the strategies were spot on, too. I didn’t expect it to go into nearly that much depth.
Brady Games might not, but Mr. Wizard packs an interesting Nina. He also tight with Castel, who also does a lot of advanced combos. So yeah, I guess it is worth it.
yeah the 3s portion is written by mopreme and kamui.
oh, and also. i am kinda skeptical about this new tekken 5 guide because of how new the game is. the 3s guide turned out awesome because it came out when 3s been out for a long time and top tier strats and tactics were already found.
wouldn’t be surprised if the tekken 5 guide book material gets dated within a few months.
The only problem I have with Brady’s guides are that the binding fucking sucks. The cover to my Tekken 5 guide is about to come off and I’ve had it for a week.
it’s not super-advanced; i’d say more general knowledge…
like, DURRRRR…-type info’ that everyone needs to know…
advanced strats? meh. the info’ gets your feet wet.
combos? blah. just check out tz.com for the REAL DEAL. :pleased:
still a good supplement to learning the game, though.
ya i bought the T5 guide it has good match up info pretty good combos its an all around good refence but im just worried if this shit might get dated due to new discoveries and shit this TZ thread has some good feedback on the guide
