Well I still say you should get AE. Although you have tried Guy, dont forget you were using Super Guy and not AE Guy. Anyways I also agree with ruff said…
I do believe that something is wrong with that data on the wiki and therefore, I am calling it bull. When I play the game then I will see what nerfs he got. Obviously the person filling out the wiki doesnt know.
Um, I just tested it. Frame data on medium and jaguar kicks DID NOT CHANGE.
It was -2 on block before for MK jaguar, that means it’s not punishable by a reversal shoryuken.
Guess what? It’s still not punishable by reversal skoryuken, point blank, standing, crouching, whathever. LK jaguar has always been punishable but nobody seems to know that.
Also, contrary to what has previously been said in this board, counter hit far HP, HP super DOES combo. It’s just sorta tight.
MK Jaguar kicks is -1 on block if the opponent blocked it crouching. Have gief block MK Jaguar kick crouching then hold up or tap back dash, you’ll escape the reversal SPD. Then the same scenario with gief stand blocking, Adon won’t be able to escape the SPD.
You can always subtract one frame of disadvantage from blocked Jaguar kicks if the opponent blocks it crouching. You can also subtract one frame of disadvantage if the Jaguar kick hits a crouching opponent. LK Jaguar kicks is also safe from reversal SRK if you do it from full screen away, making contact with opponent on it’s last active frame.
Bingo. I’ve been using LK JK to poke grappling characters for quite a while, and I haven’t seen any changes in AE to discourage me from pushing out the occasional jag kick to keep Gief honest with the reactionary SPDs.
Note - LK and MK JKs are only safe from SPDs because of a range issue, as ruff said earlier.
Is anyone noticing the hitbox change to MK jag kicks? I definitely feel like I’ve hit a few airborne opponents in places where I didn’t expect. This is probably stretching it a bit but I’m curious to know if it can be used as an anti-air in some cases
