you know that mixup with cartwheel + spencer grapple hook assist on incoming character?. you can do the same with the sent drones.
you can also do that mixup when you are juggling your opponent with shield slashes.

can u explain the former? with spencer that leads into full combo damage for me and with 2 bar will kill quite a few characters, but so far i have only gotten random hits off of the drones… do i just go into air m shield slash, charging starxx hyper charing star? i dont really see how it can be extended unless there is an option i’m totally missing. was watching valle play but shit, my freaking cap looks like valle – we both die first. LOL.

personally, i dont even like sentinel. but i can’t lie that drones assist is very helpful for captain to open an opponent up, and hell, i’d take sentinel at anchor over haggar anyday. would love ideas on how i can optimize damage after hit confirming drones during mixup in the air (incoming character)

well i don’t know if a catching an incoming character with drones can lead into 1 touch kill combo(well if i have 3 meters it definitely kills HCS, power of the wind storm super, dhc glitch sent drones), but it can atleast lead to a kinda shortened version of caps bnb. what i do when they are being juggled by the sent drones is j.:h: m.SS(like 2 or 3x) then CS, CS, HCS

also I’ve never like valle’s cap…people in these forums are way better with CAP imo

I use sent drones, lol it definitely can lead to one. Trust me! But the way i set up my incoming cross up is pretty clever and cool. So if i know someone is incoming, then i will throw a jump M. shield slash so they have to block, if they dont i hit confirm into a launch combo for free damage, if they do block they are forced to land on the ground and straight into sent drones. . . then i cartwheel and the rest is history lol.

Other Ken, can i see some games of you? I know for sure u got great execution and I want to see how u play. I dont really care about combos as its just execution and practice – i do care about defense and starting offense, and i want to see the ways u set your stuff up. I like this jump m slash to force opponent to block incoming assist help, like to see videos of u doing other shit as well!

I’m still messing around with it, but I’m really starting to believe in DevilJin’s advice about Felicia’s Rolling buckler assist. It has godly blockstun and will keep your M charging star assist. It hits mid-low and let’s you get an unblockable. I haven’t tried any cartwheel mixups off of it, but due to it’s very long active frames, I think it will work great. And since it’s 2 seperate hits you get a sentinel drones like mixup. I’m running her as anchor, but if you didn’t want an OTG assist, she also makes a very good 2nd spot character. She has a relatively safe DHC with kitty helper for Cap in case of a bad hyper, but her normal DHC synergy is just so-so as you’ll have to cut both HSS or HCS off early for her main damage hyper to hit.

Also, I’ve been working on my throw options. No luck at all with front throws using Wesker assist. Back throws are inconsistent. sometimes, the assist just fails to hit. It’s been more consistent with Deadpool Katanarama, but that also misses sometimes. So far, I’ve managed to cobble together a 500k combo off the back throw which my team can DHC into 750k+. Not too bad for off a throw.

Well I’m going to a tournament this saturday, and I am going to make sure I bring my camcorder to record the matches I play. I also realized I have like no match footage of myself lol. I’ll try my best to take as much video as possible!

For everyone using the relaunch combo as their bread and butter, a few notes:

  1. avoid the medium hits to save the hitstun scaling for the last shield slash
  2. BUT, I found that using a single medium hit xx down + heavy attack vs a single up + heavy attack on the first launch makes it so pixie characters stay in the combo. AND it makes the relaunch easier. AND it saves the hit stun scaling so you can do the full combo.

The pixies are one of the biggest reasons why I changed my B&B combo to what it is today. I used to just do (launch) u.H xx L.shield slash, j.M xx M.shield slash, L.charging star, S, etc. etc. etc.

Now I do (launch) M, u.H xx L.shield slash, j.M, d.H xx L.shield slash, (land) H + Spencer up grapple xx H.shield slash, etc. etc etc.

With the new beginning I ensure that regardless of the character size I will have them high enough for the first L.shield slash to connect, after that I just decide if they are at right height or a little too low, and I can either do the j.M, d.H or use j.M, H xx L.shield slash etc etc etc

There is never a worry about hitstun (I leave an extra hit out at the end to ensure that), no worry about them being too high/low, and if I want some extra damage (or to be fancy) I can add on extra damage before calling Stark/Doom by using a few shield slash reps since it doesn’t worry much hitstun scaling, and STILL get the 2 L.charging stars before the Hyper Charging Star. Doing just 3 shield slash reps (H, M, L) put my damage at 570k with the 2 L.charging stars (and has no need to call Doom).

I was getting hugely annoyed with effin Dante always seeming to fall out of combos (too high), and his buddy Zero too…so I had to change some things up.

Yeah I need some help on that advanced Anti Ground kick delay combo, I like that, and need some better solo combos, even though I run Cap on point and usually have an assist. With Cap/DP/Task, my BNB goes as follows.

cr.L cr.M (Or stand, but heavy has to be standing) H and Call Taskmaster Straight Arrow assist xx L Charging Star, wait for arrows to hit, H Shield Slash j.m j.H M Shield Slash launch j.M j.M j.H S Call Deadpool Katanarama L charging star HCS. Around 700K usually. Tons of variations too, so I can really hit it from most situations.

I stumbled across the Captain America loop and found a bunch of cool setups for it. It’s a shame poor captain america needs his entire X-Factor to kill someone when someone like wolverine can do it by pressing 3 buttons. :frowning:

The xfactor shield loops aren’t made to just kill a character, they’re so that you can kill someone without spending any meter…and building a lot of it.

If you just wanted them dead, then you’d just activate in the middle of a combo (not the beginning), then finish the last part before ending with a hyper. They’ll surely die by then, and you get to still have a good portion of xfactor left for the next person. :slight_smile:

Then again, if you have the right team synergy you can kill people without xfactor using a few meters instead.
