can someone post results?
It was my first time trying to help host on livestream and I was soooo nervous. LOL I hate my voice, haha. Sorry if I’m one of the terrible hosts you’re talking about and if I said anything incorrect. I was just coping with the pressure of hosting live by treating it as a conversation (of my opinions). Sometimes I just said things randomly so there wouldn’t be dead air.
I’m actually very shy, so still working with the ‘live talk.’ It can be nerve wrecking when the camera’s on me, haha. I’m thankful to UFrag for giving me the chance to host on behalf of different competitive gaming communities, though. I’m new to this particular community, but not to tournaments, so that’s why they picked me up. I only promise to get better at this as I grow with the community and learn more, because I’m really loving it. <3 c:
Anyways, GG’s to everyone in the tournaments I entered! Had a lot of fun, learned a lot, met some new people, and despite the mishaps in the beginning and near the end of the Triple Threat tournament, it turned out to be pretty fun. I had a good time. Hope to see everyone at NCR.
In all honesty out of the three commentators towards the beginning of the event you were the best one. You knew enough about the game to be a supportive announcer which is good. They just needed someone that has played more of the game that knows the stuff you don’t to compliment your side of the commentating. Good job for your first time.
edit:

Oh, hah, thank you. Actually means a lot. By the way, to anyone who watched the stream, feel free to PM me with any feedback/constructive criticism/what you did like that may help me improve for future live hosting. It’s okay. I can take a burn and turn it into progress.
SF4 Female top 3 was:
1 Miyuki
2 Princess Aura
3 SherryJenix
Miyuki, Sherry, and some other girls really impressed me! I hope the tournament makes those girls realize that they do understand the game, can compete in a tournament, and shouldn’t sell themselves short. That was the purpose of the girls tournament to begin with. I really hope that more of these girls enter the regular tournaments now. GG’s to all!
what was funny, when you and the other girls were talking in your little group. I was just listening in on your convo and you guys were talking SF with knowledge of the game. It wasnt that, “OH I DID THAT FLOATY BUE THING TO KILL HER.”
it was, “Yeah I missed up on my FADC into Ultra, i need to get that down.”
I was very impressed.
Aura is good peoples. Nice signs too.
Box Arena are super awesome.
J Wong is a cool guy too.
AJ always cool.
Chef cool.
OBEY!!! Sooooo cllooosseee.
I’ma good buy modern warfare two now.
heres top 8
Sorry for thinking you were asian.
Sucks to hear about the bullshit goings on with the organizers, but I though the stream was actually ok.
UltraDavid was on point with informative commentary, very very well done sir. I was crushed to hear you gave up Sim completely in favor of Gief, though.
Princess Aura was good too, solid knowledge of the game. For being camera shy and nervous you did a hell of a job.
Didn’t catch their names but the long haired dude and the guy who said “basically” every other word were great during BlazBlue. Very informative since I can barely make out what’s happening in that game.
Always nice to hear James Chen on a stream. Dude is just pure class.
MarkMan is the man. Very good presence on the mic, so professional. Seeing Buboy rocking a MadCatz patch in Manny’s corner last night was awesome. I mean seeing him wearing Tekken 6 and MadCatz t-shirts during 24/7 is one thing, but in the corner during the fight? Beast level product placement right there.
I can’t even big to start on this tournament.
Yeah mistakes were made, money was confused i get that.
But im talking about the logistics of the tournament.
when SF4 top 8 started no one (the crowd) knew who the fuck was playing
no one knew when or IF a game was a tournament match
not one person announced over the speaker phone who the fuck was playing
BUT BUT BUT
OF COURSE WE HAD TO MAKE SURE THE LIVE STREAM WAS COOL
fuck the people that were there, internet dumb fucks need to know whats really good first.
this is my main beef with live streams, so if you ever see me rant about streams, its because of that. They are placed higher in terms of importance over the live audience who actually matter.
so all in all
fuck activegamers, (leave the tournament planning to those who know shit)
fuck HAX (nice name)
fuck streams
fuck MYK (lol jk <3333)
most importantly fuck this thread
PS: A gift to all my socal players and tournament attendees, i love you all and i have a gift to get this bad taste out of your mouth. expect it next year. <3
love shoo<3
oh and thanks for the cosplayers dancing to jpop
that was my favorite moment bro
No jk, bro that shet was hella sick biz to the maxxx.
shoo is the best~
Maybe this has been said or it is known, but: who was the girl drawing that fighting game art? Does she have some website or deviantart-account?
There were also some sketches in a few of the photos that I liked.
Would be nice to know.
Another thing I noticed: yeb has grown some serious facial hair.
Thanks. <3
wait wait, $10 to spectate some shitty no name tournament? Really?
so i heard that people who entered the 3s tourney did NOT get their entry fees back. also heard some bullshit story about how money was stolen… right… and also heard some cool ass dude loaned money to these idiots to cover their ass as a loan. if this shit isnt resolved please make sure to out these clowns and we can take care of this like gentlemen.
