what were the results
If someone has any vids, please post. The stream was in the middle of the night and I missed it.
I get my SSF4 public and non-public info confused sometimes, so when in public I generally tend to err on the side of not divulging things heh. Also, believe it or not I used to not only play Third Strike but get top 8s with Q, so I in fact do know something about both the game and the tiers and matchups in it. There’s only been one genius in Third Strike history to do really well with Q, and it’s the same genius who also beats almost everyone with like half the characters in the game. I totally stand by everything I said about 3S.
Anyway, hope my commentary wasn’t too annoying. First time doing it and it was kind of random how it started out, but I had a good time.
lol. obviously, jimmy1200 doesnt understand that 8 is a number between 7-9.
but anyways, ggs today guys!
its time to start leveling up for ncr >=D
oh yea… thanks for the marvel vs. capcom TE stick guys! xD its the shit
Your commentary was great and was easy to follow for those who don’t follow the game much, as a buddy of mine pointed out.
Thought it was funny though that they went on about your wooden stick (they had a nice close up of it before you came on) and that later you somehow became UltimateDavid.

Thank you everyone!
I am the founder and creator of UFragtv and I wanted to stop by and first say thank you for the continued support for all the viewers and players who support us and allowing us to help cover these great events. We take pride in being able to give to the gamers events that they might of missed if they were unable to travel to them. I wanted to also share the recordings from this Triple Threat event as well. You can see all four videos (two from the party, and two from the tournament) on the show page. We WILL be cutting up these matches in the next day or so and placing them on Youtube as well. Here is the link to the show page: http://ufragtv.com/show/triple-threat ENJOY!
I also wanted to help clear something up, UFragTV provides LIVE streaming for gamers and Gaming events. We try to help events bring their events to the masses by bringing our streaming and production skills to their events and give them the ability to have a show. We are NOT commentators nor do we claim that we are. We rely on the event to provide the necessary commentators for each type of game or tournament. We only step in if they need assistance to help cover “Dead Air” etc. So please understand and try not to judge our hosts for their lack of fighting game knowledge as we would NEVER claim we know as much as the talented people we meet at these events. So to make a long story short UFragTV really only provides the tools, but we can not control all aspects of the event, we only try to help while we are there.
But again we had a fantastic time, we streamed for over 12 hours and gave out over 60 t-shirts, psp games, TE sticks, two cases of Mana potions and other cool swag! UFragTV is dedicated to the gamers and want to thank all of you for your continued support and we are always open for ideas on what you would like to see in the future! In the mean time, enjoy the videos, and thanks for everything!
P.S. If any of this is confusing or full of typos I am sorry, I really should be in bed lol. Night everyone!
I am jealouz… can I haz nice shiny arcade stickz plz?
Great tournament guys.
Too tired to think of anything else to say right now.
Will elaborate later.
Another girl satisfied with my stick.
Next.
J/K. Congrats.
Your commentary was fine, thanks for doing it. It can be such a thankless job sometimes.
well besides that ultra, your commentary was good. not better than aris though. ha ha. he is an asshole.
I liked your random commentary it kept me wanting to watch since that other guy didnt know shit
hoooo ya it def. sounded like ultradavid knew a lot more about ssf4 than he was able to talk about
That was an interesting read. I wonder if the same shit happened to the SF4 and Tekken guys.

With the most respect intended I actually appreciate you going out to an event and attempting to put on a good show. Top 8 for each respective game was great. The best thing you did was get your uFrag representative off the show and put on people from the community to do commentary. Nobody wants to listen to someone commentate that has no idea about the community or the game.
@UltraDavid You did great thanks for spitting into a mic.
lol @ people talking shit at Ultradavid.
Ultradavid vs. “Person trying to sound smart on the Internet” is a 9-1 matchup. Get raped.
EDIT: But honestly though… the commentary was hit and miss. It seemed like half the time it was intelligent, and half the time it was just trying to sound intelligent. There were times where me and my friends just kind of looked at each other and gave each other a “Really?”. Near the end though, it started to get pretty good. Especially with UD on the mic.
But I can tell there was some decent effort put into it, so props for that. And Props for MM pulling off sexual innuendo’s from here to kingdom come.
I’m surprised people weren’t able to figure out that they wouldn’t have the prize pot after reading that they were to charge a random $16.
I was not present at this tournament because I did not believe in supporting a tournament that needed to throw it’s burden of guaranteeing a $2200 pot to it’s players, aka hopefully this extra $6 brings me that much less to pay out of my own pocket.
I also wanted to express my disgust in how horribly done the brackets were. I’m sure that Keno V. UltraDavid in his 2nd round could’ve been avoided, as was Keno’s 3rd round v. Floe. Then there’s Mike Ross V. Justin in his 3rd, Moval V. Alex in his 2nd.
Great way to make scrubs get the most out of their $36 entry fee.
I think this has to be hammered into every tournament organizers head…
YOU CAN’T MAKE MONEY RUNNING FIGHTING GAME TOURNAMENTS.
Tired of shady ass motherfuckers trying to make a quick buck off the hype SFIV brought in. Tournament organizers make tournaments because they love the game. John Rog lost a good chunk of change running WCW, same with the Seasons Beatings crew. Hell, I’m positive Evo barely breaks even.
ActiveGamers, if you are reading this: STOP TRYING TO MAKE MONEY OFF THE PLAYERS. Every time you run a tournament, expect to be paying money out of your pocket. Pulling gigantic numbers “promised” pot prizes out of your ass and random 36 dollar entree fees is NOT the way.
As for brackets…I don’t have any problem with top players meeting each other early, as long it was done randomly.
Well you know I’m not for strong seeding, but even if they did that, that kind of thing would have been hard to avoid. The result of it being retardedly expensive and people coming from other regions was that like 1/2 to 2/3 of the entrants were pretty heavy hitters. And I totally hear you on the price, 100% the only reason I went was because of the 5v5 quals.
Thanks for saying nice things, guys.
