Acrylic/Plexiglas for HRAP 3/EX & TE, and More - First post updated with Dust Washers

I’m still clicking on the website every day hoping to buy one

Hey Milkham,

Email me about your issue, and if you can, take a picture of it. I’ll see what I can do.

Almost ready!!!

Yay!! I’m excited for these.

Thanks Arthong. I got my panel the other day, neatly packaged. I’d post pics but I’m waiting for my buttons from LL which should arrive next week:rock:

Working on this, not quite done yet…

I put this on Kinko’s and selected all of those settings, but man, to have them ship it to me was $11 for 1 business day, which was the slowest shipping method. I think I’m going to complete all of the pieces for my 3 cases (HRAP EX, Kaytrim, & another on the way) before ordering from Kinko’s.

be careful, i used the the template called TiaTemp or something from the hrap thread and i sent it along to kinkos for printing on tabloid sized paper and it came out too small. you’ll probaby want to remove the button outlines and make sure your art extends past the edges of the outline for the whole panel there.

Here’s what happened, I laid my leftover paper from cutting my chun art out over the other one I had printed you can see around the outline how much bigger the actual panel was than the outlined template.

you don’t want to go through all that and have it shipped only to find you can’t use it.

Mmm, good to know. Which template did you use for the Chun artwork?

I guess not going with the holes is better… and then use the panel to cut out the artwork.

I love you arthong. especially cuz whenever i read your nick i read it as art-thong but also because of your excellent service.

Caution: Arthong is TOO awesome! :stuck_out_tongue: Non-US buyer’s testimony

 Got hard when I read his name again after reading this comment!

In any case, you have all seen the good feedback from those who have done business with art within the US. Now you guys get the chance to hear some good things about his service, internationally.

I was one of the first few that immediately inquired when he first posted his intent to provide this plexi service on the Tech Forums. I knew he was spot-on when I first saw his spiel, but what was really pleasing was how he communicated and expressed his intent to help shipping out to where I am–all the way to Hong Kong, Asia.

Ordering was a breeze (I was lucky to have gotten my order in before he was swamped -_-), shipping was fast, and most of all, art was honest in his intent to do this as a way of thanking the community.

A testimony to this is how art paid more than I paid for shipping just to have my package insured. I haven’t gotten those plexis yet but from the pictures he showed me before shipping, you could see the care that went into making sure you will receive your plexis intact.

Just throwing this out there, art helped me find QDs, printed my art at Kinkos, took my clothes to the laundry, etc etc…(ok I was joking about the laundry part, and yes I paid for them extras >_>) But the point is, this guy’s pure service. (If not for him I would still be wandering the streets of HK aimlessly looking for QDs) Bottom line, you need something, just ask. Chances are there’s something he can do to help out.

Anyway, I’m sure arthong doesn’t need my testimony among loads of these good feedbacks left for him in this thread, but I figured an international buyer’s point of view would be nice.

Good luck art, and when you do drop by HK, let’s play a few matches of SFIV over beer, eh?

SHORYUKEN!!!1

how do I order?

Read the first post, please

Me too

looks cool. ever thought of making hrap1 top panels as well

To Arthong;

Is there any chance of making the plexi without the turbo panel and the start/select cut out as I usually remove those when I mod the sticks, so I dont actually need those openings. It would be great because that will prevent someone pressing in the vacated hole on the panel.

Thanks again guys, and thanks for the patience. I have exciting news.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Please check the first page, 2nd post for my detailed update

And geeze, Sicnarf… now you’re gonna get people asking me to do their laundry

That is great. will likely buy a couple panels from you. when do you expect to get it? i didn’t catch it in your post

That’s pretty pimp. Laser cutter ftw.

If all goes well, the plan is I meet with the sales rep tomorrow to finalize a few things. Pay for it (omg) within the next couple days and have the cutter in my hands by Thurs or friday. Friday evening will be used to perfect the cutting pattern (the HRAP and TE templates floating around aren’t an exact cut, so I need to make some manual modifications). Then use the weekend to start producing and catching up on orders.

That’s assuming all goes well and nothing out of my power goes bad… no jinx

That I can. If we’re talking about the HRAP3, then this will probably fit. If we’re talking about TE’s, the problem is when you remove the original art then apply the plexi on top, the plexi sinks in a little. When that happens, you need that turbo area to be cut. If you’re not removing the original art, and rather put new art on top of the original art, then the plexi on top of that, it may work. Does that make sense? =O

Simply put, you are The Man, Arthong. I may just have to do that thing you suggested with my AIAB!

Damn, like I said, you’re really going all the way with this. Wow, you’re the first person I’ve met with the same last name as me who isn’t Korean (I’m not Korean either.)

Art, did you print your artwork without borders or button holes and then cut it out with the aid of the panel? As Milkham said earlier, it really does look like TiaTemp is smaller than the actual HRAP EX panel.
