Update
Alrighty, another quick update.
My GF has joined me in my venture to fabricate the plexi-covers. What this means is more will get done quicker. She’s part time now, but will start doing a lot of this on a full time basis in a couple of weeks. I’m still handling the Artwork cuts, custom requests, flame polish and quality check, but she’ll be able to operate the majority of the standard laser cutting.
In the next couple of days, a TON of orders will be fulfilled and shipped. I’ve got a lot of artwork printed today and those will be shipped out soon. New artwork orders that came in this week may still need to wait till early next week for shipment as I’m still downloading requests and processing them. And I’ll be out of town for Mother’s day this weekend, but I should be caught up on a lot of orders before I head out.
With the extra help, I should have the VSHG plexi’s by next week. Then continue to experiment with the SE panel… that’s still taking a bit of time to figure a few things out. Because the SE does not have screw holes on the bottom corners, I’m trying to see just how well the “bent” area will stay put. So further experimenting will determine if this SE plexi is going to work. Also will make a bottom plexi, and offer artwork prints and cuts, for the TE for those who want to add some art to the bottom.
Other things on my mind are etchings. I’ve been playing around with etching images on the plexi, but depending on the image, sometimes it will show up great, sometimes it’s a bit hard to make out the image. I’m going to see how well it may work with certain Plexi covers. The thought was to have an etching, say image of Ryu, directly on the plexi cover and have a black gradient art background to show it off. But more work is involved to find a good setting and type of image that will etch in good detail.
At the very least, I’m going to offer some corner etching on the plexi of say your name, or your SRK alias, or whatever you want. With that same idea, I’ve made some plexi key chain-tags that you can etch your name, or alias. I made one with the Street Figher IV logo and it looked pretty good! But eh… I don’t think selling an etching of their Trademarked logo would be legal =P. Also plan on some etchings of your favorite characters. Just need to find good settings for it. I’ll show pics later. More ideas in the works for the upcoming month. Thanks again everyone!

While he can potentially be my competitor since he has the capacity to do what I’m doing, we’re working with each other instead. I’ll do the plexi/art, he can give you some metal work. People have asked if I can cut metal. I cannot, but he can =)
