I have no life x2.
The trials arenât really that hard, thereâs usually some trick to them (or someone else has figured out the timing for some weird links and can help you with them). Gen, Viper, and Ken have hard trials. Fuerte has one or two moderately challenging ones, and I think the rest are pretty straightforward.
The real grind is getting gold in all the challenges (the only thing I havenât done). Really, it just amounts to doing lariat over and over again (and on knockdown, glove, SPD, glove, SPD) and hoping the CPU doesnât reversal ultra you or just make life miserable for you once out of 40 matches. Itâs not fun and itâs not a measure of skill. If you want to just pass the trials, though, you can stop the hard survival challenges after 20 opponents and thereâs only 5 of them. If you can get to 20, though, you can get to 40 if you have the patience. Just have to be careful with a few opponents (Cammy, Bison come to mind, as they love to reversal ultra and reaction-beat your lariat). With Cammy, get within sweep range and sheâll repeatedly do backfist, which you can lariat on reaction. Walk up, stand there, wait for backfist, repeat.
I have them all. My win percentage also varies between 82 - 85%.
HDRâs achievements were WAY easier compared to IV.
lol, gotta have a lot of patience to do it twice. =o
whatâs My horse and Me 2?
I have 710 Gamer points out of a 1000âŚit is my 2nd highest total right behind Halo 3 which is currently at 715 points but you cannot compare the two since SFIV has 1000 total points and Halo 3 has a total of 1750 points, the most of any gameâŚ
I dont plan on getting all the achievements, I am not patient enough nor do I have the time to try and master GenâŚeven though that would be bad ass if I didâŚ
i have hard time getting perfect 30 of them is needed i have 5
what have you guys done hope its not boosted
i have all normal trials but am wating to get the hard ones
just shifted to a stick and i am almost at my pad level/skill took me 2-3 weeks with break
am stuck on hard trials numba 4 for survival n timeâŚfukin gief spam aint workingâŚstill get my ass kicked
Eventually youâll ge teh 30 perfect rounds. Just keep playing player matches. I helps if you have a developed a good quick way of winning a round. Perfects rarely happen after 20 seconds.
Hard to explain how to perfect someone without saying âbe betterâ or âplay worse peopleâ. All those âdo X in a match Y timesâ titles are boostable if you donât have the patience to keep playing, or if you donât feel youâre good enough to eventually get there.
There are some little things you should know about the Survival & Time-Attack challenges thatâll make your life that little bit easier.
Generally speaking, Zangief + Lariat will dominate almost all challenges. But remember:
For the trials, youâll need patience & practice. Itâs that simple. The trials I personally found to be the most challenging were:
Youâll really need to practice linking & proper usage of EX FADCancelling. But if you have the time & will, youâll be fine as long as you keep at it. If you find that you just arenât getting that one trial down, take a break, relax, & try again another time or day. You can even come back here & ask about any specific trial, as there are little bits of know-how for certain trials that can ease the pain of striving for that glorious âSUCCESSâ on your screen.
Best of luck to all of you who strive to take on such a daunting task.
If there are any specific trial/survival/time-attack questions, iâll be more than glad to help to the best of my ability.
Just finished getting 100% (platinum trophy) couple of days ago. Too bad there isnât an icon / title for doing this. Right now Iâm sporting the C. Viper / Absolute Perfection icon / title combo.
Like itâs been mentioned before:
The hard trials in terms of difficulty (from hardest to easiest):
Elite players with deep knowledge of the game engine and highly precise execution:
C. Viper, Ken, Gen, Abel
Players who can occasionally mash out a shoryuken:
El Fuerte, Cammy, Fei Long, Seth, Sagat, Gouken
Players with limited eye-hand coordination:
Zangief, Blanka, Boxer, ChunLi, Rufus, Guile, Sakura, Rose
Any mammal with opposable thumbs:
Ryu, Dan, Akuma, Dhalsim, Claw, Honda, Dictator
Greetings. Iâm having some strange problem, so I hope I can find help here. I recently bought Street fighter 4, but I just canât unlock any achievement. As I can se, I have done some thing that are needed for unlocking achievement (unlocked all characters, won 3 games in a row on Ranked matchâŚ), but my âTrophiesâ are still locked with no any achievement gained.
Do I have to do something first, before I can unlock any of the achievement, or I have some serious bug problem? Any help would be appreceated. I play on PC through Windows Live.
Here is how it looks in my profile, during the game:

Thanks to all in advance.
I need 13 perfects and 8 dizzies to get Platinum
Have done all trials on my Sixaxis, it took me several month to do it
Yep, just got my final achievements last night. Pretty relieved.
For those who donât care about doing the combo achievements the bonafide way, cheat. I have been able to knock out a few of the trials pretty easily with the turbo buttons and assigning FA, 3P and 3K to buttons. Dictators trials took only a minute or so with the turbo buttons and in every combo you have to perform there is at least a couple of buttons you donât have to use, mapping the FAâs and 3âs makes life a little easier. Especially if you are like me and suck at FADCâs from EXâs into Ultras.
unfortunatley i have exactly the same problem⌠does anyone have an idea why it bugs? or any solution? :-/
^^ Delete your game data and start over? Just a thought.
Also just got the last achievement I was missing a few days ago (grinding out gold in the hard survival challenges). The time ones arenât too bad, though the last one is pretty tight and you have to get lucky and a perfect or two (Sagat and Balrog like to give perfects somewhat often).
Some things I noticed which really helped me be consistent vs. different AIs:
Cammy: As mentioned, you canât touch any button until she backfists, or else she will instant ultra/super/spiral arrow and beat whatever youâre doing. Stand at sweep range (maybe a bit further) and wait for the backfist. If you block a drill, you can SPD if youâre feeling confident, or else just block the follow-up cannon spike. Punish with EX greenhand. Punish ultra with EX greenhand (or you can just jump over it and chase her⌠particularly good if youâre near the corner already, because you can level 3 FA while sheâs ultraing and land a big combo). Spend the meter you have accrued on Cammy. She sucks. Even when you use this strategy, you will eat 30% chip damage.
M. Bison: Loves to just turn on the jets every so often and beast you. When he has super/ultra, you canât do anything (fortunately he likes to spend EX meter). He also is prone to wakeup ultra, even if you throw nothing out, so just bait it then go back to lariat spam. There are a few characters who love to focus attack and eat two hits of lariat. Bison is one of them (others are Blanka, Guile, Viper, maybe a few others). Do this until he gets ultra, bait it, EX greenhand after he goes through you, then repeat.
Balrog: Very easy. Stand at sweep range and lariat, moving in and out. He will always, always try to use turn punch to beat it, and will fail. This is helpful, because itâs easy to get perfects on him (if you need a time bonus). You can stand in his face and lariat, but sometimes heâll do turn punch late and will tag you. It wonât kill you, but itâll just knock away your perfect.
Blanka: Nothing to ever be scared of. Heâll never ultra, super, or use invincible EX moves. Heâll do nothing but repeatedly try to focus your lariat and eat it. Sometimes heâll use elec, but lariat wonât get hit by it. Walk forward, do lariat at point blank repeatedly.
Abel: He likes to roll. Stand at sweep range and lariat, itâll tag him when he gets up from roll. If he ultras, lariat will stuff it. If he supers, the CPU likes to pick the grab-invulnerable super, so lariat is still safe. Iâve never seen him pick the hit-invincible super. Donât try to SPD him, he will TT through it.
Akuma: A bit of a crapshoot. He loves to ultra when he has it, so bait it. Sometimes heâll just walk up to you and EX shoryuken as soon as you touch a button, so just hope he doesnât do this too often. I find he gets hit by lariat a reasonable amount of the time that you should be okay with this fight.
Seth: When he knocks you down, he loves to do two teleports, but usually ends up right next to you. Lariat on wakeup. On the harder time/survivals, Seth is annoying, because you canât do SPD, jab greenhand, SPD against him (heâll beat it with any number of invincible reversals). You just have to hope he walljumps at you (he does often), which you can lariat, instead of throwing booms from full screen.
Guile: Loves to ultra and super on wakeup. Bait it. Otherwise, he eats lariat x 2 because he focuses everything point blank. Easy.
When I did the challenges, I was most scared of Cammy, M. Bison, Akuma, and Seth, probably in that order. Eventually I just learned to eat 25-30% chip on the Cammy/Bison fights (sometimes Bison goes really well, sometimes he doesnât). Also worth remembering, if youâre ever in a pinch, try to land a jab SPD. You can then repeat jab greenhand, fierce SPD until death or stun. This doesnât work against a few characters (Cammy comes to mind, and many characters will reversal when they have super/ultra), but is still a very good backup plan in most cases. Lariat is the preferred strategy though, because it knocks down faster and a lot of characters will eat 2x the damage by focusing it. The fights will go faster, which is important for the time attack mode (to get golds) and the survival mode too (to save your sanity).
Good luck, itâs a grind. I personally found hard survival 3 to be the hardest (CPU starts with full super each round). If they have super, they just love to throw it out 1 frame after you do something. Fortunately, theyâre usually very willing to burn some EX, so just make sure they do that before going forward. Hard survival 4 (auto-gauge increase, no gauges displayed) was second hardest. They ALWAYS have ultra. ALWAYS bait it.
All you have to do against cammy as gief is this. Crouch and mash jab . She will repeatedly backfist into your jabs. Dry as hell but simple :smokin:
