Achievements/Trophies

I’m curious how many of you fine folks even pay attention or try to obtain all achievements/trophies?
My estimation is that many will say they are a waste of time and one should spend the time in training mode.

Try specifying a game. This thread also feels misplaced. Only achievement whores actually care about achievements. If your playing a fighter for the achievements then you’re doing it wrong. Especially since most require skill in order to obtain all achievements

Some people are achieve whores, and feel like their sole purpose of playing game should be towards gaining points for their GT. It’s sad, really, but some people are into shit like that.

Also, this should probably be in the ‘fighting game discussion’ side.

Thanks El Trouble & TGG. I really only care about trials and I am NOT playing fighting games for achievements. I know the trials are impractical most of the time, yet I am bent on completing them all. Maybe I should just save them for when I am much better. I’ll sit there for hours at a time trying to get the higher ones done.

There is a middle ground. I care about my Gamerscore. I like getting Achievements.
But Achievements aren’t the reason I play a game. I play because I enjoy it. I pay fighters with the primary aim of getting better.
I’m not a scorewhore, but I’m still proud of my Gamerscore.
So many Threads have black or white answers posted, like everything is absolute.
Chill. It’s a game.

Nice. I don’t care too much about my gamer score, I just like the achievements as challenges.
I’ve been playing fighting games since SF2(though never got committed to attaining tournament worthiness until 2011), and I also play them to improve, while having fun simultaneously.

I don’t care at all about Trophies / Achievements. I play a game to enjoy the game itself and usually can’t be bothered to do some obscure grinding nonsense to get an imaginary trophy that has no meaning at all.
