Do GamerFinger buttons fit alright on a stock TE2 or do I need to replace the plexi?
Hey there so Iām going to need some help with this particular question. Let me run down the situation real quick.
- I have a MAās stick
- I had a sf15 anniversary stick which has ps2 and xbox on the board
Alright now I canāt really test this out as I donāt actually own a ps2 or xbox. But I have a question. The stick is Iām not sure actually it feels like a wico p360 but I canāt confirm as I should have written it down. Anyways the stick has a 5v connection otherwise it wonāt detect the inputs. On the board of the sf15 anniversary PCB however the board is not 5v its 8v
So I should probably instal a 5v regulator and thatās not a biggie but just want to make sure that its either okay to connect it to the 8v. Or not okay to do this. Here are some pics sorry they are links.
Do you guys know of any bottom panel replacement for the original TE sticks?
Mineās gotten that dark look and it tends to stain whatever Iām wearing
Sand and paint it.

Cover it with artwork and a plexi, or just a plexi.
Or like PresidentCamacho said, sand and paint it.
Still cant find a clear or smoke grey bat top im going to order clear plungers and silencer pads so i can have clear and black rim strange i never seen this
Guess Iāll just get one of the Mirrored finishes, thanks guys.
Do you guys know the size of the nuts that go into the top panel of the screws on the TE?
My top panel is only being held on by three screws, I have a feeling fixing this wonāt be easy
Whats the differnce in silincer pads. Should i get kowl 1m acutator or just a 2lb spring.
Get them all and see for yourself.
Hi, hoping someone can help me with this. Iām trying to change the shaft cover on a jlf and the existing one is completely stuck. It doesnāt lift or rotate independently of the shaft at all and I canāt remove it.
Canāt work out what the hell has caused it to get stuck, it should just lift off
disassemble the jlf shaft from the housing and put it in the freezer. take it out after a day and give it a careful whack with a hammer. the cover should crack off then, donāt hit it too hard, you could bend the shaft
There shouldnāt be an issue with a PS4 fightstick from Japan being used on a PS4 bought in America, right?
The PS4 has no region lockouts, a Controller from Japan will work fine with a US region console.
Canāt seem to google myself out of this oneā¦
Why would a MadCatz TE2 PS3/4 āfreeze upā occasionally when used on PC? It works fine for a moment but suddenly it freezes and I canāt input anything for ~1secā¦ The stick was used on a PS4 just literally 30min prior and worked perfectly from what I could tell. Oh, and itās bought in Japan.
It happens in and out of game(in devices > controller settings) and it seems to happen more frequently the more buttons I press. Iām on a newly upgraded windows 7 x64 build, I can post specs in a while if itās relevant.
Thankful for any info regarding this, even if itās speculation!

My money is on your PC and not the controller.
There a switch to change your PS4 TE 2 from PS4 to PS3 Mode, switch it to PS3 mode if you havenāt already. See if that works.
Also, is your Win 7 install an upgrade from a older version or a clean install?
Why would one use a bigger acuyor or use 2lb spring few weeks into my 1st fightstick

Thx for Response!
Tried both PS3 and 4 with similiar result, PS4 looks very slightly worse. Also tried all stick settings(DP, LS and RS) on both modes without luck.
I formatted my hard drive and re-installed with a new version of Windows about 2 months ago.
I agree with it being my PC at fault here, question is what could cause this problem? Could it be driver related? Iām basically looking for a place to start.
Iāve tested my pad in all my USB ports and it works perfectly, and I get flawless response from all other USB devices.

Thanks, finally got it off with a freezer, hammer, saw and a bit of swearing.
There a quite a few pro players who will tend to disagree with you on this.
And quite a few more who would agree. Actually I canāt think of a single one who would disagree that the hitbox gives you a huge execution shortcut.
Smaller does not mean faster. There is a little thing called leverage, as in your whole arm acts like a lever, small movements in your shoulder and elbow can move faster and further than your thumb.
Now we are getting really, really dumb. We are obviously measuring on a very small scale, but the amount of physical exertion it takes to make a direction input on a pad via the analog stick (or dpad) versus a joystick is measurably smaller. How you can continue to refute that is beyond comprehension. Also please point me to the discussions of throw, gates, centering, springs, etc for control pads. Thereās a reason you wonāt be able to.
That is what we call bashing sticks, seriously if you going to continue down this line of argument you need to take your troll self elsewhere.
No, itās just a question of style. A mas stick is more a blunt object than a recent TE. Ask a mvc2 player - thereās a reason they donāt want the more precision.
So you enjoy paying out $35 to 65 every three months for a new fight pad. I can tell you now those Mad Catz and Hori Fightpads tend to break or wear out quickly.
Oh wait, those two game pads, the ones made by Microsoft and Sony themselves are the only ones which donāt break in a few months with normal use. Also I never said they are the only pads in existence.
Look up all the threads where people ask how to fix their broken Fight Pads.
And this is where I again question why you even responded to me, since you are off in your own little lala land with no idea of what my advice was actually about.

See above - youāre apparently another SRK wannabe who has never been to a tournament, least of all competed in one, so you have no ground on which to form an opinion, and are therefore left with tired memes as your only recourse.
Did you ever read the Hitbox thread? Even the Makers of the Official hitbox state it takes some practice. And when I asked them about execution, they told me their musical background helps. So who are you to argue something about the Hitbox from itās inventors.
This is literally one of the dumbest statements Iāve ever read. How many tournament hitbox players do you know personally? How many of the āinventorsā do you know personally? I know most of them. None of the players are musicians. None of the players spent more than a few days learning and becoming proficient. None of them would go back to joysticks because they now have easy mode execution.
Also, these are your own words: the ranking is Hitbox > pad > joystick
[/quote]
And more memes from an empty head. Notice how I qualified that ranking to one specific criteria. Oh wait, you didnāt.
Dude shove off, stop acting all High and mighty here with your reply a whole 9 days later.
