where would be the right place to ask if a certain monitor has lag for a 360 or PS3? i was gonna make a new thread but i figure its a common enough question that it has a thread already.
i dont really have the tools to test it and also i havent bought said monitor yet.
ah iam sry,its late and this common ground thing kind of burned into my electronoobbrain
what i meant was the grounds for each daisy-chain u mentioned earlier
more resistors than the 2 in the diagramm?
Hello again! It seems as though I have a chance to score a TE stick for cheap – there’s a snag. It costs $60 to buy but it is used and it is some kind of pawn shop that is selling it. I cannot test it myself but it is listed as working. They did not test the item themselves and so they can’t give me any more details.
What do you fellows think? Is the TE stick rough and tough enough to take this risk on? It could be a wonderful find if it were gently used – I really doubt that a button mashing 10 year old could afford this stick. Then again, this place sells liquidated/returned/refurbed/debunked items – so who knows what is possibly wrong with it?
Hello! Ive got myself a modded SE 360 stick, but i want to make it work on my ps3 aswell. Ive looked up toodles cthulhu premade and it seems simple to install, but ive yet to find a guide/faq on how to get it working for both consoles. I assume i have to double the wiring, but can anyone point me in the right direction?
Not sure if this belongs here, but I didn’t see a Q and A.
Can I only remove the stick and buttons on my SE to switch my art? Or do I have to take out all of the insides, move the Turbo switch/home button and then replace the art?
@Landwand lets assume everything failed, all you end up paying for is the case itself. you’ll have to replace the pcb, buttons, joystick and add some wires and stuff.
@palmerfan, If there is anything that is sitting on the art, then yes. If you need to paint a park bench and a fat lady is sitting on it, you will have to kick her off first or else you will miss a spot. Answer questioned?
The art is around the panel, though, not on it: it looks like it won’t interfere. The art would still peel off around it, and it would go on around it.
I dunno if that makes any sense, but I can’t really explain things now, I’m too tired.
Come in with a PC Laptop. Test it on the spot. Be aware that an Nvidia chipset or any chipset that Isn’t VIA may not be compatible with a PS3 TE. PS3 TEs usually have solid PCBs as far as working for a PS3s, so most likely you will only have replace worn out parts. I say go for it. If it doesn’t work, then you got a good case and get to do some DIY work. Sanwa parts are durable and they most likely will be good.

I wish I could walk in even with my PS3 and test it out – This thing is being sold online cities away! It’s been sold on an internet site. So I’ll have to take a risk. From what I have read, Sanwa parts are durable. It may be a good gamble! Stick modding seems hella fun – but I’d like a good stick to play the game with first.
scratches chin Quite the predicament! Watch this stick’s buttons be replaced with ju-jubes and the stick itself is a lolipop. I’d be so frakked!
Hi Landwand, So far I see that you are willing to buy a TE and mod it with sanwa parts. Aside buying the parts from Ebay, I recommend you to buy it directly from Etokki.com, I’m From Canada as well, precisely Quebec, and the shipping only took 6 day to get home. And the prices are good so far. I bought a JLF, 8 30mm, 3 24mm and a ball top. The total was barely 52 can. So you just have to buy an mounting plate for your TE and thats it, less then 60 for the whole thing, plus, I thing that with the TE you dont need the 3 special buttons cauz you have them in the stick it self So the stock should be arround 54$. I really recommend you to get them from that store ! And welcome to the arcade moding/building world !
How am I supposed to print a Lami-Label? I went to Kinko’s today and I told them to do it and they didn’t know what I was talking about so they just laminated the whole template…
