Well everything else seems to be working perfectly aside from those two.
It’s 2007.
Then you have either wired it incorrectly or the board itself is faulty.
Can’t really help if you don’t post up clear pics for people to analyse.
Okay, that is good to know.
That is what I wanted.
Those Signals are not next to other, default.
How did you make the Button Layout to be?
http://imgur.com/a/AV2Da Wiring is extremely messy, bottom pictures are the directions, they used to have butt connectors connecting them but the problem came by and I removed them.
Here goes a silly question: How loud are the stock buttons on a Brawlstick SE in comparison to the stock 360 controller buttons? I have a very sensitive roommate…
Okay, I have some questions too before I start finally ordering parts.
1. I’ve heard that you have to open up the HRAP 3 from the bottom to take off the top panel. Is that true? Or is the SA different and can be opened up from the top?
2. What kind of tool would I need to take off the screws from the top?
3. If you look at Art’s site, he has the HRAP2/3/EX Template and the HRAP2/3/EX Extended Template. What is the difference? Which should I use for the HRAP 3 SA?
4. Would these buttons be okay for Start and Select buttons? Or would I need to do any soldering or buy any extra cables or anything? They seem cheap and too good to be true for LED buttons you can just pop in.
Thanks in advance for your help, guys.
I can’t tell you in a measurable units like decibels. Although the Stock WWE Brawl buttons do have a noticeable CLICK, the click sound it self is not that loud.
But the click is more noticeable that the stock xbox 360 or PS3 game pad.
Sanwa push buttons have a softer click to them, you can also try to pad the insides of the buttons with some foam.
Is your room mate sleeps in the same room you game in?
And how of a light sleeper is he?
My bigger concern is the amount of noise the joystick will make instead of the push buttons.
Softer micro switches or switching to a optical sensor like Toodles’ Spark or Rollie Boy’s Flash 1
1.yes
2. You need phillps screw driver for the bottom panel, than is some pliers to loosen the nuts holding the screws for the top panel.
3. The Extended covers more surface area
4. They will work for what you probability want. And the price is about right for American style push buttons (Happ and IL sell for less)
I was thinking of getting OBSF-30s, so hopefully I can pad them. As for my roommate…let’s put it this way: he once complained that my Model M keyboard was too loud and I had to switch to a membrane keyboard.
I know this will sound extremely nooby but like how do i connect the xbox PCB to the ChImpSMD? Which ones from the xbox pcb to i connect to the chimpsmd? Will I need to soder? I got which ones are the buttons and joystick… And the ChImpSMD has that usb plug in, so i dont need half of the regular usb stuff. But i dont know which ones i connect from the xbox pcb to the chimp. If you guys got pics that would be helpful too.
First off, you’re definitely going to have to solder
When dual modding, all you have to do is piggyback the same signals together, e.g. A = X on the ps3
The points are all listed nicely on the back of the board of the TE’s/SE’s and new hori sticks so you can tell which point is which
from there you correspond the 1p, 2p, 3p and 4p to the top row of buttons so X = P1, Y = P2, etc…
The best place to access these points is on the back of the board where the labels are
After you connect those together you snip the usb cord apart, about 4-6 inches away from the pcb and hook the side coming from the PCB to the XD side of the screw terminals, XD+ = Green, XD- = white, GND = Black, VCC = Red
From the usb part that’s connecting out to the console, you hook the usb up the same way to the other side which should be labelled OD+, OD- OGND, OVCC
Does anyone know if you can mod the new SFxT pad with an MC Cthulhu? Thinking about getting a 360 one and getting that done. Maybe even a PiiWii if I’m feeling batshit insane. Possible? Impossible?
If you can fit Gummo-style.
I’m thinking of buying the MadCatz WWE Brawl Stick and mod it with Sanwa joystick and buttons / new art. Any ideas on where I can get the cheapest price for it? I live in Europe by the way.
I don’t know how much amazon charges for shipping to Europe, but they got a sweet deal going if you buy the Brawl Stick. I think it’s a $20 credit towards a 12 month XBLGold card.
I know a guy who can do it that way!
Also, new question (yay questions):
How do I get my DC to play Japanese games? I don’t wanna change the menu, I don’t wanna play burned games I just wanna be able to put in a Japanese game and have it go. I saw some trick that has you switching discs but that can’t be good for the drive.
Thanks for the help Darksakul.
I just have one last question. Do you have do any soldering or need any extra cables for LED buttons? How are they powered? And would it even fit in a HRAP case okay? Or is it too tall?
Also, is it worth using IL or Happ parts for just the start and select buttons?
Update on this, it wasn’t LK/HP or LP/HK, they were just triggering L3 and R3. I didn’t even know they could be mapped through the Mayflash PCB.
