Is the plexi glass panel for the Chun-Li Fightstick TE-S the same as the regular TE-S?
No it is not.
In stock form, the TE “S” uses Full TE Acrylic.
In stock form, the Chun-Li TE uses Regular TE Acrylic.
If you remove the TE “S” art, you can use Full TE Acrylic.
If you remove the TE “S” art, you can use Extended TE Acrylic.
If you remove the TE “S” art and add Bezel, you can use Regular TE Acrylic.
If you remove Chun-Li art and Bezel, you can use Extended TE Acrylic.
If you remove Chun-Li art and Bezel, you can use Full TE Acrylic.
Dumb question #2 in three days
I want to use padhacks from my xBox 1 S or Duke as well as 360 via brawl pads (thanks for the first answer about cheap 360 hacks).
I swear i remember reading somewhere that I could hook two pads from two different consoles to the same joystick and buttons and not fry the controllers as long as I put some sort of electronic component on the grounds.
I prefer not to have some sort of physical switch if possible. If I do have to switch, can I just switch the grounds? If my kid turns on both consoles at once I don’t want anything to fry.
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
I have never modded before, so please excuse my ignorance. My question is if anyone has use this method of mounting a JLF in a Honcam fightstick. If this method isn’t possible on a Honcam, would you have any tips on soldering onto the micro sensors on the JLF? Heard and read somethings about how it is a pain in the ass to do. Thank you!
Why there is START and BACK spots on both side of pcb? And i see that there are 4 ground spots for Dpad (for each direction). I have wiring harness for Sanwa JLF with only one ground wire. How do i ground joystick?
Use the reverse side (lower pic) of the PCB for ‘start’ and ‘back’.
Your JLF has a common ground pcb. You only need to connect that GND wire to one common ground spot on the Fightpad pcb.
Ok, thanks. Same for buttons… Only one gnd wire goes from fightpad to each button?
If you are building a stick from scratch then you have two options:
-
connect one signal wire to each relevant button, daisy chain the button GND together using one line of wire
-
connect one signal wire to each relevant button, connect one GND wire to each button
Hey guys, I just got an Asus VH236H (aka Evo monitor) and I had been playing with it on Game Mode, only to find out I had still been playing with lag because my xbox had been set to 1080p. I switched to 720p but the timing really doesn’t feel different at all, I feel like I am still playing with lag. Are there any other settings I need to change or am I just being paranoid?
1080p is the correct setting for Xbox360 to VH236H.
Hi, I’m a total newb. I decided to mod my brawlstick after studying numerous tutorials. One thing I didn’t pick up on is how to change gates on a Seimitsu LS-32-01 from square to octagonal.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3361877/2012-02-16_17-39-42_114.jpg
I can’t quite figure out what to do here to get the octagonal gate “enabled.” If I remove the light blue square gate and try to screw in the darker blue one, it’s obstructed by the four outer screws (see the left one). If I flip the dark one over, the plastic bends in towards the metal when I screw it in.
Am I missing something obvious here? Thanks in advance for any help.
Yes.
The LS-32 does not have an octagonal gate.
Forehead, meet hand.
At least I played it safe and nabbed a circular gate for it - wasn’t sure which I’d end up liking.
hmm, but I had been playing on that and then when I went to a tournament, it still felt like different timing…
So i’ve been debating. I’m either going to build my first joystick with already made components or I’m just gonna get a TE and get a TE kitty from toodles. But the thing i’m trying to find out is if I do get a TE will the TE Kitty work with the new soul calibur TE stick from madcatz? The 2nd question is that I’m a complete noob. I know the components I need but I’m not exactly understanding something thats apparently important in building fight sticks.
I’m probably gonna build this but anyways…
ChImpSDM + Toodles FGWidget + Neutrik USB jack + Case + Sanwa JLF + spark optical sensor + buttons (seimitsu kn) + arc eye 2. then the appropriate usb cables.
The thing i’m not understanding is, if i get a ChImp i wont have to tear apart a USB cable because the USB port on the chimp is a USB out and i can just hook it from that B - A on a Neutrik USB jack and through that plug it straight to my console right? The only time i would have to wreck a USB cable from a fightstick is if i didnt plan on using the Neutrik jack right? Thanks again.
Yes. You will have to buy the $5 TE-S harness with it though because it is a TE-S based stick.
- That is correct.
- I don’t understand the question.
#3 was just pretty much repeating the opposite side of #2. You cleared up what I wanted to know. Thanks again. Also Can i purchase parts directly from you at godlike controls?
Is there a way for me to hook up audio on my custom stick? I’m using a paewang pcb if that helps any…
Yup.
I see a lot of beautiful custom arcade controllers and I was wondering… how does someone learn how to build it? Are there some references to follow?
I already know the electric part, it’s no problem for me. But I have no idea about the box measures, shapes etc… I won’t build the box by my self, but I need some instructions to give to the furniture maker. Could you guys suggest me some reference material?
